Vietnam to develop border area with Cambodia [-Could this project be developed in disputed areas near Svay Rieng?]

September 05, 2007

Vietnam has approved a decision on the development of a border gate economic zone in the southern Tay Ninh province, bordering Cambodia, into an international trading center, the newspaper Vietnam News reported Wednesday.

Under the decision, the development project of Moc Bai border gate economic zone, which covers some 21,300 hectares, bordering Cambodia to the west, will include trading and industrial zones, an administrative management zone, an international border checkpoint, urban and residential areas, and tourism and services project.

The trading and industrial zones are non-tariff areas. All imports to and exports from the trading and industrial zones are exempt from import, export and value-added taxes. As for commodities and services that are liable to special consumption tax, they will not be subject to the tax if they are produced or sold in the zones or exported abroad, said the paper.

Meanwhile, Vietnamese or foreign organizations and individuals, having investment projects, production, business and services in the trading and industrial zones, will be exempt from corporate income tax in the first four years.

No more cooperation with the Vietcong in any business period!

The Vietcong is will trick Cambodian into submission! Ahahah!

Just watch! These Cambodian officials don't even know what they are getting themselves into!

The first trick is to make the whole operation run smooth as possible to instill some confident in the partnership! The second trick is to create some form of difficulty in the operation whether it is management or not enough revenue to support the whole operation! The third trick is to create debt and borrowing to continue the operation! Eventually one side will have to give in and sell their right or abandon the operation all together due to the loss of profit, frustration, and short term view!

The other side will pick up the pieces and inject more money into the operation and put in a new management and the change will take place and now the business take root!
