Cambodia should not be the "Junta's little Friend"

Cambodia Must Support Burma on Democracy

Cambodia is one of the stronger supporters in the region of the Burmese military government For example, when the Burmese junta tried to get the rotating chairmanship of Asean in 2006, the only country standing for the junta was Cambodia. The junta, however, lost the position.

While the US, the European Union and other world leaders are urging the junta to release Burmese democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi and other political prisoners, the Cambodian government's statements have been unsatisfactory: "EU Meddling In Burma Over Suu Kyi: PM" (Published in The Cambodia Daily on June 1, Page 1). Similarly, after returning from a three-day trip to Burma—"PM Discussed Democracy, Tourism on Burma Trip," (Published in The Cambodia Daily on May 24, Page 17)—the Cambodian government stated that "the Cambodian delegation felt satisfied that Burma was working towards achieving a democratic government as it has promised in the past." Burma is the biggest human rights abusing country in the region.

The junta has destroyed over 3,000 villages; over one million refugees have fled the country and there are an estimated 600,000 internally displaced people; there are more than 800,000 people who are used as forced labor and the army has some 70,000 child soldiers. Besides that, there are over 1,000 political prisoners. The current crackdown by the junta on peaceful demonstrations shows very clearly the barbarity of the junta. So what does the Cambodian government see that is so satisfying in Burma? As a democracy-practicing nation, Cambodia should not be the "Junta's little Friend." It must stop supporting human rights abusers in Burma and must stand on the side of Burmese democrats along with other countries.

as citizens of a sovereign nation we need to rally behind our leader dr. hun sen to support myanmar's sovereign government. westerners are now using monks as a tool to divide and conquer to achieve their neo-colonialistic aspirations. it's essential that we khmer maintain our dignity; otherwise, our daughters and sisters will be reduced to sperm toilets for the imperialists.

'Cambodia should not be the "Junta's little Friend"'

Wrong, we are brothers and we will stick together no matter what. This is the advice that all parent will tell their kids. The Royalists is fuck up badly in this area, which set us back to stone age. Don't forget this so quickly.

Don't take no more advice from stupid Westerners PhD people. They haven't done anything right for any country on this planet yet. Thus, tell them to go practice their work in the west, not in the Mekong territory.

Help Burma to win democracy so that Burma can help Cambodia. Let Democratic Burma and Democratic Cambodia stand side by side to fight communism. Burma can help by sending her army to fight against youn and her puppets.

The trouble with opposition people like Sam Rainshit, Aung San Suu Kyi, is that they over estimate themselves and they let their hatred of Autocracy to restrict their full potential. Autocracy is not Nazi or Pol Pot. Those are racist evil murderers. And Democracy is not LonNol either. When you have abusive people in government neither system will work.

Fact of the matter, Autocracy government is much more efficient than democracy government when you want to get your country moving out of poverty fast. You can passed law 10 times faster to meet you need than Democracy process. Taiwan and Singapore is a good example of this. There is no such thing poor country delivered by democracy government. They can't, they move too damn slow. Too much bureaucracy, ... . On the other hand, once you got the economy going in full swing, then you have to sustain it which is the hardest part of governing, then Democracy will be more effective than Autocracy. Why? because the only thing that keep the full swing economy healthy is creativity and innovation, and that required a lot of heads working together.

Any where that has an Autocracy's government, thing usually get ugly.
Burma is no less.

People ears, arms, legs and head got cut off? Monk got defrocked and stayed in the darkest jail full of TB? who do think you are? or what kind of government you represent? are you the most stupid Burma or Myannma? or what?
