Son Chhay, Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Committee in charge of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and SRP MP, said that even if high-ranking leaders in the national institutions, such as Heng Samrin who is NA President and who was recently promoted to the rank of Samdach Akkak Moha Sena Charey, do not care and do not resolve Monk Tim Sakhorn’s case for the past several months, he knows that MPs from various political parties, including those from the ruling CPP party, who are members of his committee, have supported the idea of defending (the rights) Cambodian people which he initiated.

Son Chhay said: “Up until now, Samdach Heng Samrin only told me not to raise the issue so directly, and not to ask too many questions, (he told me) just to let (the government) provide their explanations, that’s enough, and for me not to question them about anything. However, in general, with all members of my NA committee, we consider that this case involves Cambodian people, and if, as a National Institution, when a Cambodian citizen has his rights trampled on this much, how can we remain still? How can we be considered as a National Institution? We all shouldn’t be one anymore. But, it seems that I obtained the support from (committee) members from all political parties in the committee, they all seem to agree with me that we must defend our people, we cannot allow anybody to trample (on our people) the way they want it, even if they still have influence on Cambodia based on the past remainder of their invasion (in Cambodia) in the 80s, however, now we must have the right to protest. It seems that there is a lot of support (to this idea).”

Son Chhay criticized the delay in coming up with a resolution in the case of the former Abbot Tim Sakhorn’s return to Cambodia, he said that this is due to the neglect of the Cambodian government which allows foreigners to take one of its citizen and puts him in jail without defending its own citizens’ freedom rights.

Son Chhay added that the deportation of one’s own citizen, and allowing him to be jailed by a foreign country, were done because of the irregularity in the government’s investigation into Monk Tim Sakhorn’s case, and that it was done to protect the interest of Vietnam only. Furthermore, the results of the government’s investigation are totally opposite to those by various NGOs.

Son Chhay added: “This issue is complicated because on the government side, they do not help to demand for the return on Monk [Tim Sakhorn] back home, therefore, the Vietnamese they are also neglecting this case, they are waiting to see the situation. However, what the (VN) embassy promised me when they came to visit me at the NA before I met the Vietnamese parliamentary delegation, they told me that this is the issue they are preparing all the documents in order to go to trial, they explained to me about the reason for the arrest of Monk Tim Sakhorn, but their explanation is the same as the one provided by the (Cambodian) ministry of Interior and signed by Em Sam An, which was sent to me. The Vietnamese explanation is nothing more than a repeat of the Cambodian report.”

The Khmer Kampuchea-Krom Federation (KKF) led by Thach Ngoc Thach has also criticized the action and the policy adopted by the Cambodian government, calling it a policy to preserve the friendship between a group of Cambodians holding power and the Vietnamese regime. This policy does not place any importance on the sovereignty and the wellbeing of its own citizens.

The government leaders ejoy their lives, on behalf of Cambodia people, with the expense of the Cambodian people. To make our own people suffering and make neighboring countries happy, then these leaders can stay in power longer. These leaders are naive and no shame of being leaders of a nation.

The Second Year Anniversay of Illegal Supplemental Treaty 15 October 2005.

Dear Beloved Countrymen,

Today is the second year anniversary of the extension for legal control of Vietnam over Cambodia legalized by a group of traitor leaders installed by the Vietnam in the 1979, i.e. the Supplemental Treaty signed by Hun Sen on October 15, 2005 which in its spirit to validate the 1985 illegal treaty back to life.

It is the day that we must remember and witness as long as we live from generation to generation that our territorial integrity and sovereign are sold to another country by our leader.

However, I personally never recognize the present day leader, Hun Sen, as the leader of Cambodia . In my eyes, he is just an unconstitutional leader, a traitor and an untruthful person.

This is because he has come to power constitutionally wrong started in the 1980s by Vietnem's instalation-puppet, directly killed hundreds of thausand Cambodian by K5 policy, in 1991 by threatening war after the lost f the election, in 1997 by coup, in 1998 by fraud and unfair election with hundreds of our beloved students, monks, and peasant killed and disappeared, in 2003 by amending the national constitution for his greedy power by means of the packet vote after national election in 2003.

With his unconstitutional Prime Ministership, he irresponsibly and authoritatively signed the illegal Supplemental Treaty on 15 October 2005 with Vietnam in order to validate the 1985 illegal treaty which violates the spirit of our national constitution and the 1991 Paris Peace Accord and with this he does undermine our national independency.

In order to get the public trust, he always keeps saying that all the Treaties signed in the 1980s do not make Cambodia loses her land, yet Cambodia will gain land from Vietnam through them because Vietnam are pity on us. However, he never keeps his promise and dare to face the reality. He politically never accepts any offer of evidences from our nationalists, scholars, and our beloved people who live along the border who witness the daily invasion. And more importantly, he never keeps his word. I do remember that I asked him to bet life with me in the case of territorial integrity in October 2005 after he signed the illegal Supplemental Treaty 15 October 2005 with Vietnam. Taking this opportunity, I would like to tell him officially that the bet is still valid and I do urge him to accept it in order to bring about the truth and bring back national unity, full independency, and pride as a Nation, otherwise I will never recognize him as a Cambodian leader or my leader forever but just a traitor and an untruthful person.

Let’s mourn together and condemn this act of Hun Sen!

Pang Sokheoun

Former President of SMD

PS: Please view the attached file t read the ld letter that I sent to bet with hun sen in 2005.

These Vietcong slave Cambodian leaders live only for themselves and they are like fly and they born to reproduce and to die!

They leave no legacy for the next generation! It is such a shame to see Cambodia turn out to be this way!

Hey, we don't do shit for KKF agent monk from Vietnam here. He spread propaganda in Cambodia, and we'll sent him back to Vietnam, alright?

It sound like so much confusing in the government's measures against Monk Tim Sakhorn.

If the ruling party (CPP) would consider Tim Sakhorn as a Khmer (Cambodian) monk, I don't see any necessary to send him to Viet Nam. His case MUST be brought to Cambodian court, not to VN court.

In otherwise case, if the Cambodian Government deemed Sakhorn as a Vietnamese citizen, the CPP-nominated monk Tep Vong has no rights to defrock Buddhist monk Tim Sakhorn.

CPP means "Cambodian People Party"; it doesn't mean "Vietnamese People Party". Please review your shameless actions.

Though most fellow Khmers didn't speak out about this case, don't think all of us dumb.

This CPP must be 1 of 5,000 Viet communist sympathizers from North Vietnam called Khmer Viet Minh. CPP Yuon created in 1954.
-----------------------------------
Not the CPP from dissolutioned of the Khmer Issarak in 1951. (Khmer}.
-----------------------------------
I found the evidents that Tep Vong is one of top secret Agent station at the Siem Reap Regional. called Oddor region.

So what? People allowed to change their career.

Yes, being a Buddhist monk is a career for Tep Vong.
