Council of Ministers approve the demonstration right law

The Council of Ministers issued a communiqué indicating that the plenary session of the Council of Ministers, held on 05 October 2007, under the presidency of Hun Sen, had agreed and approved the non-violent demonstration right draft law which was prepared by the Ministry of Interior. The draft law includes 6 Sections divided into 30 Articles. The communiqué stated that the draft law on the non-violent demonstration right was prepared based on Articles 37 and 41 of the 1993 Cambodian Constitution which stipulate the right of the citizens to strike and to non-violent demonstration for the freedom of expression and assembly.

KI-Media Notes: Articles 37 and 41 of the Cambodian Constitution stipulate:

Article 37 - The right to strike and to non-violent demonstration shall be implemented in the framework of a law.

Article 41 - Khmer citizens shall have freedom of expression, press, publication and assembly. No one shall exercise this right to infringe upon the rights of others, to affect the good traditions of the society, to violate public law and order and national security. The regime of the media shall be determined by law.

Yes, this law looks good if HUNSEN is not in a bad mood. If you make him mad, you will be disappeared.

Cambodia's law is just a joke at this time because the judges are working under the instruction of Hunsen anyway.

Cambodia only has an independent jurical system only if Cambodia is not controlled by the CPP. If not, Cambodia's law is just a piece of paper for people to read and has no power.

I was totally shock when I read a letter that Hunsen wrote to our no-power King Shihanouk about Ven. Tim Sakhorn. In his letter, he even mentioned about finding girls in Ven. Tim Sakhorn's room.

It is an unfortunate for Cambodia to have a Prime Minister just listen to YOUN. Now it shows the real faces of CPP and its leaders. They start destroying our religion by using dirty tactics to frame our Cambodian citizen and now they do that to our monks. When do we wait for this to happen again and again??? Let tell our Cambodian people for stop voting for those bastards because they are the one start destroying our religion in Cambodia.

That is sooo stupid. What you are saying if our justice system is ran by Pol Pot, we are not allowed to intervene.
