October 30, 2007 Cambodian PM plans to deliver lectures for money
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said Tuesday that he plans to deliver lectures for money at universities and other places as other country leaders did.
"I have plans to give lectures at some places about my experiences in leadership" and share the views about stability, peace and economic development in the country, Hun Sen said at a graduation ceremony here, adding that he used to deliver a lecture in Singapore for one and a half hours and they paid him thousands of dollars.
Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mahamad collected a lot of money through delivering speeches, he added.
"A university in the United States has always requested me to have a presentation in the country. I should deliver a speech at their university," he said.
"The Royal Administration School of Cambodia also requested me many times but I could not deliver a speech because I was so busy with government work," he said.

Well, what can I tell you? The man (PM Hun Sen) is just a walking Khmer Genius, period.
What kind of lecture are you going to deliver? and in what language? what kind of Leadership?

The best place for Hun Sen to deliver lecture is TAN SHWE's house.
Even Burmese University 's students will reject his visit and offer.
What credit and academic background Hun Sen has to lecture at University?
I think Hun Sen is suitable only to lecture to innocent Cambodian people about his experience in enemy leading that caused his blinded-eye. In this moment, he will repeat again and again that "he has to protect the war and insecurity for Cambodian people" while Cambodia and the world are at peace. But Hun Sen said like that b/c he understands well that Cambodian people are easily jeopardized and frightened....so that to reduce their fear they have to vote for Hun Sen.
Hun Sen has no academic background at all to deliver speeches to University Students. Or if he is invited, he just tell directly about his experiences that student can use them as their case-study.
However, Hun Sen should be courageous to have public debate with all political parties during election campaign if he is sure with his knowledge comprehension. Doing so, Hun Sen can accelerate his leadership.

Since he had left Cambodia for a long time, and he wanted to rejuvenate his memory to see if Cambodia is better than before or worse. So he took a challenge trip to Cambodia with an ambition to visit the Rothanakity to gain the first hand experience and put the economic zone---Lao, Cambodia, and Vietnam to see it holds the water? Also, he wanted to know who would benefit from that economic zone master minded by Nguyen Tan Dung—Prime Minister of Vietnam and its marionettes in Cambodia and Lao.
As soon as he set foot in the Rothanakity, he was involuntary arrested in Cambodia—his country of birth, and then he was escorted and directed to the Vietnam-side by armed militants, and he was jailed by them over night in Vietnam last week.
Luckily, the US’s Embassy in Cambodia sent an envoy to Vietnam and took him back to Cambodia, and sent his pitiful man back to the states a few days ago. As I spoke with him, he also told me that there was hundred of Cambodians were imprison by the Vietnamese soldiers and waiting for help from all sides.
It’s sad that, he was the first Cambodia-American whom became the first Prisoner of Peace (POP) not Prisoner of War in his country of birth by the foreign combatants whom violated the Cambodians National Integrities, and took Mr. Santhor as the hostage?
Will Vietnam become the first country who will do terrorism acts in Southeast Asia?
Will the Cambodians, American-Cambodians and others become foreigners in their own country?
Will the Cambodians, American-Cambodians and others are subject to arrest, and imprison by the Vietnamese even though they were in Cambodia?
Or Rothanakity Province was the Vietnam territory already, and it was true, please tell us when and whom give it to Vietnam? The people of Cambodia gave it or Hun Sen or the King, or who?
Please take care of yourself, your fellow Cambodians, and your country?

I think it's fair to have him give speeches. It is democracy but he must answer questions too.
Is it legal for a PM who is still in duty under government salary to make extra money using the government work schedule?
Everyone love the PM position in the capitalist economy because you don't have to look so hard for money; it will find you, no matter what. There is just no place to hide. And that is why we see people obsessed with being PM and forgot all about the people who is in need. They don't care. They even lie and cheat to make people cut each other throat for it. This is a bit like a man who is in love with a woman or vice-versa. Even they have nothing in common, there is no way to talk any sense into them if you know what I mean.
