Every day, I watch TVK. And the “thing” that intrigues me the most is the “spectacle” of young Khmer women who all became “super-white,” i.e., each one of them has a face, hands, shoulders, legs whiter that those of the white race French, Europeans, Americans!
While regretting that out Khmer Race “practically” no longer has any more young ladies with tanned skin, I did not fail to ask the ladies in waiting of my Wife (they are serving her with an exemplary devotion) how all these young women did, to arrive to this “staggering” result: to become whiter than the white women and to be endowed with an ultra-milky skin.
These ladies in waiting “explained” to me that the ultra-white young women “peeled off their skin” –sic!–, i.e., they have their “not white enough” skin peeled off and they daubed their respective bodies with a new beauty product, “whitening” to the extreme the head, the shoulders, the hands, the legs and the “rest” of the body.
Now, to have oneself’s skin peeled is for sure extremely, superhumanly painful. Then, “to get rid” the body of one’s skin is “to uncover” oneself with bleeding flesh, worthy of a horror film from the 30s-40s with the “monsters” Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi! Under these horrible conditions, how could one daubs the bleeding flesh with a Devil (or Godsend, if wants to put it that way) product “capable” of transforming a woman into an ultra-white “goddess”, whiter and more “milky” than the milk from a mother, a “nursemaid,” or a cow?
To “simplify” “things,” I believe that, simply, one has found (where from?) a “chemical” formula “capable” of transforming even a tanned … or black skin into an ultra-white skin.

I try to understand King Sihanouk state of mind and I think I know where he is coming from.
Cambodia people need to understand something very fundamental here! When King Sihanouk came to power or chose to be King of Cambodia by French in 1941 and many of white European and especially American society still live in a very segregated society between white and color people. There are separated drinking fountains and dining for white and color people. There are separated restrooms for white and color people!
I have no doubt when King Sihanouk came to power in 1941 he also bear the brunt of racial discrimination as well by the European and White American leaders who would look at him as color people or as something inferior than them and not as a real Cambodian leader and without a doubt King Sihanuok is well aware of the racial prejudice issue at the time and there was incident when the head of states of every countries were going to United Nation meeting in New York and King Sihanouk was never treated as a head of state by white American leaders because no security guards were offered to him and an insult like this will shape his political outlook for many years to come! King Sihanouk felt that if he is a leader than treated him like a leader! The questions are always asked why King Sihanouk always allied himself with the communist. Such as China, Soviet Union, North Korea, North Vietname...Now you know why because these fucken communists treated him so well like a leader even though they screw him over and they even gave him a palace to live in such as North Korea! Would any of you do the same? I would do the same as King Sihanouk but as long don’t screw me over!
Regarding Cambodian women who want to have white skin are untrue because Cambodian women always want to have beautiful looking skin and I see nothing wrong with that! I believe the real beautiful looking skin is "tanned in color" and it such a common sense because million of white people worship the sun just to have a nice looking tanned skin color. But for those Cambodian women who really want a total white skin like Michael Jackson are being too extreme because the skin no longer has pigmentation to protect itself from the sun and so skin become very sensitive to the sun like albino people and soon cancerous condition will develop on the skin! How is it that Cambodian women want to be so beautiful and yet willing to kill themselves in the process? This is what I don't understand!
For King Sihanouk to be deceived by the all the commercials on TVK is just ridiculous! I mean how many dirt poor Cambodian women can afford to pamper themselves with this kind of luxury? I say a very few rich Cambodian women can of course maybe their husband is a general or businessman? I have been to Cambodia and check all their cosmetic brands and cleansing products and so and so and I found out that they are very expensive and out of reach for most Cambodian people and most are generic brand or fake brand! By the way please don’t mess with hydroquinone family of skin lightening product because it will turn the skin dark when skin expose to the sun!
I know that Cambodian women come in all shape, size and color! Now consider that Cambodia is situated along the equator and the environment is very hot and humid and the sun light can be very intense and can reach over 100 degree most of the years! So to have white skin can be very deadly and that is why most Cambodian people have very tanned color looking skin or even dark brown and not black! Even the darkest Cambodian can't even compare to the African people because it is still somewhat lighter! Most shirtless dirt poor Cambodian farmers exposed to the sun all time and so their skin color tend to be darker than the rest of the general population! And of course there are some interbreeding between the Chinese and the Asian Indian which gave Cambodian people certain skin color as well!
Finally it is normal for King Sihanouk to discuss such issue as skin color because he is a victim of the white European and American racial discrimination too in the 1940! Oh well! If King Sihanouk can't afford to have a total white skin like the white European and American but at least he can afford to be half-white by marry interracial half-European wife!
