New RUFA takes too long to take shape

Numerous complaints are heard from the users of the site hosting the new Royal University of Fine Arts (RUFA or URBA in French): difficult access, lack of security, buildings not yet completed.

Located at the Russey Keo district, several kilometers away from Phnom Penh downtown, the road leading to the new RUFA campus is going from bad to worst, and meanwhile, the buildings are completely surrounded by water. These pitiful pictures contradict the claims made by Hem Chhin, the secretary of state of the ministry of culture, in November 2006. According to Hem Chhin, “this zone would be integrated with the city, for a nice future, because our ministry is afraid about the disappearance of our culture.”

One year later, during a meeting on the spot with some RUFA teachers and students, several problems were raised: lack of means to pay for gasoline, attacks by hoodlums, theft, bad conditions of study materials, etc… Some teachers and students, who prefer keeping their anonymity, said that that they are very unsatisfied with this situation. “The future here is like a utopian day, we must wait, maybe years, because I don’t see any progress, the high ranking officials close their eyes to our condition,” a theatre student deplored.

Closed windows, closed doors, the buildings are mainly abandoned to the silence. “I don’t blame my students for boycotting classes, because I understand their problems, the road is like the one leading to hell. Furthermore, the teachers who are already underpaid, must travel to here by paying from their own pocket,” a teacher complained.

Last year, RUFA officials, teachers and students were evicted from their former school located near the Japanese bridge. Now a private company is occupying this former location. In exchange, the company built new buildings in the middle of the countryside. RUFA officials complained that the new buildings are not built according to norms, and they fear for the definitive disappearance of RUFA which trains students to traditional Khmer arts.

Now, he has just drown the very institution that protects our culture in a pool of water. Anything for a handsome commission from this land-swapping deal. If he cared so much about our culture this institution should be located downtown, not in the swamp. Shameless, greedy bastard!

This Hun Sen Government adopts Vietnamese ideology of killing one's culture without making a war. As a Khmer word says: 'A culture collapse, then a nation disappear". This is now true for Khmer. The unethical people, especially those from MCFA are so clumsy, money minded, and use culture as as business to get money for their pocket. I don't name these people (for ethical reason), but they are the hell creatures who will suffer the worst Kamma after their death or in the future or tomorrow. The staff of MCFA are like frog in a well, bite each other, boss each other, jealous each other just for personal reason, and try to exploit state money through bribe with students (during entrance exam period), from UNESCO, from NGOs which give hands to save Khmer culture. Poor the MCFA's management officers, poor the leaders of RUFA (especially the Rector and lady-hunter vice rector Mao Ngy Hong).
May these people go to hell and punished accordingly for their shameful acts and clumsy thinking over Khmer culture!

How idiotic can 11:48AM get! Even in downtown Phnom Penh is flooded during heavy rains. Try driving along Kampuchea Krom Blvd and near the Royal Palace after the rain. But, this idiot may have a Land Cruiser SUV, a present from the land-swapping deal, so he won't have trouble with such floods. Instead, he would laugh at motorcyclists who have to push their motorcycles through dirty water. The dirty water doesn't bite, but I'm sure this sissy idiot is not going to drink or walk through it.

So, the damned drains are still not fixed after so many years under the CPP rule. Don't worry folks, this 11:48AM idiot has already fixed sewage in front of his house, so 3 cheers to a major progress!

11:53, no one is drowning, alright? Keep in mind that most off our drain is very old, and on top of that, with the growing population who littered all over the places, causing quite a bit of a challenge for the maintenance staff, not to mention we are seriously under staff to begin with.

Why ah Hun Xen not do the job himself ( cleared the drain), he can not read nor write, so the job is suited well for him!

Ah Hun Xen would do it, but the pay is too high for him. He rather do a cheap PM job.
