Cambodian need to learn how to believe. We must learn to believe in policy instead of believing in personal person.
Example. We must learn to believe that:
1-Anti-corruption is the only way to increase salary to everyone.
2-Anti-corruption, the state can save a lot of monies to reinvest into the country for more job and more businesses.
3-Pay a liveable salary to all government officials, can decrease corruption, can increase more job and more businesss, can decrease crimes, family'violence, eliminating poverty.
4-to many illegal from vietnam is too dagerous for Cambodia.
5-Land concession to vietnamese armies in the vietnam border can allow Cambodia to loose that piece of land to vietnam.
We have to learn how to get ridge of bad leaders. We must learn to believe that Cambodia has so many people who can lead Cambodia honestly. Areak Prey

If you need to spend US$ a day to buy neccessities foods and fuels for your family and you got a job which has paid you only US$ 1 a day. Can you carry to work on that job? you must be an idiot isn'it if you do it?
At present all School teachers, health workers, policeman, soldier, most public servants etc.. and etc.. has their salary between US$ 25- US$ 45 a month. But for a factory worker ( no skilled ) has US$ 45 a month. A minister has about US$ 2500 a month plus he can corrupted millions dollars under the table. What is the gap of earning of these people. In taxation law, all salaries earned more than US$ 400 a month, should pay an income tax. There is no tax scale and noone has paid thsi tax. What is law in Cambodia? Areak Prey
Even if the donor countries give 1 000 000 millions US. It would never be enough. Hun Sen and his cronies will take a big part on it. Like with Funcinpec, Funcinpec take 1% and CPP take 90% and 1% go to the population. And how about the 8% that left? And everybody shout out loud that Ranariddh is corrupted! Of course, He does. If Mr Sam Rainsy want democratic coalition, He's already consider Mr Ok Socheat proposal. When Mr Meng Rita was the Secretary General, Mr Rainsy avoided the subject to be discuss. 5:55, you got the wrong perception about the international aids. It is not to bail us out of poverty, but simply to help us fight poverty anually. They only give us about 60USD/capita for the entire year. How far do you think that will last you in Cambodia?

The internation aids are for feeding the CPP members. How many receive these benefits? Go live with the system one year. You will understand what I saided. Don't rush to conclusion that i am wrong. I live more than one year in Cambodia and living wigh high rank in Cambodia. All You have to do is go with UNDP or people working for the ministry of rural development and the ministry of fisheries. How many of those persons are with the CPP???? I don't want to give names. It's not good for them.
If it's really fight the poverty, at the actual time, how can we explain that we clearly can differentiate who is poor and who is rich? One general has told me that when He's in the 92, He could not differentiate people on the street, who is poor and who is rich...??? Now that's too easy.

And if you don't thing that is appropriate let me double that amount by assuming that the donors gave us 1.2 billions per year, and when you divide this by 10 millions people you get 120USD/capita/year. Now tell me how far do you expect that to last for each individual? Should they all be rich or middle class with car and house ... from that peanut? I bet you spend more than that in the UK in toilet papers to keep your family asses clean in one year. Also keep in mind I am not even deducting a penny that had to be paid to the corrupted UN expert personnels.

People can not always give us the money. They can help only.
Another simple illustration is in buddhism, monks can teach us the principles of buddhist and meditation. If you don't meditate, the result, the same monks still preach the same things (the principle and the meditation). We have to do our parts. If some parts are still missing. Then we can recorrect the targets and reassess (refocus) again our aids.
The irony in the actual cambodia is that in the Macro and in the institutions, the government don't seem to give and have directions for people. That's bad. It's like working in dark road. Not newing where to go.

At the sangkum reast niyum, khmer's institutions are wellknown in the world. Students are proud to go to school, because They expect to have a job at the end. And now, relatives from others countries sent money to go to schools. At the end, They will not have jobs. And teachers are not emptied stomach like today. Because teachers can make a profession with the teaching. Now forget it. I don't paid teachers enough. Because of their bad governance!
At the 21st of century, Khmer people must stop to believe they are slave to the king.

The one who speak about sharing the donated Money per person is not that bad. It's just bad perception. Sometimes He need a clarification like us too.
It's just like so many persons that have blast the old king. A lots of people want his head. It's just normal. But do They know that the old king has sent one MP, I think his name is Thach Sann or something sound like Sann.., at the Seattle to create the Kampuchea Krom Community to fight back. He knows exactly that his son Ranariddh, poor prince warrior, is too weak. And now when Ranariddh shoot on his feet himself, in 2006. The Kampuchea Krom Communities arise.
