The municipality of Phnom Penh plans to open the construction site for the rebuilding of the new Stung Meanchey bridge in November, under the presence of Samdach Dek Cho Hun Sen, the prime minister of the royal government of Cambodia. Nhem Saran, on official from the ministry of public works and transport, told the Rasmei Kampuchea newspaper that the new bridge is a gift from Samdach Si Cho Hun Sen to the people of Phnom Penh, and it will be built 3 times larger than the old one. The old bridge is 9-meter wide only, whereas the new one will be 19-meter wide, and 61-meter in length. The new bridge will have a median divider separating traffic from each direction, and the bridge will also have light poles. Nhem Saran indicated that before building the new bridge, the municipality of Phnom Penh cooperated with civil engineers from the ministry of defense to build two pontoon bridges: one located north, and one south of the old bridge for temporary traffic.

If a bridge is a personal gift from the head of a government, there is something going really wrong. And yes, the government seems to be famous for gifts just before elections.

I wonder where he got the money from giving that his salary as a minister is not in the million.
Corporations in Cambodia has money to build this bridge. Why can't you figure this out? And of course we all know why you can't figure it out.
