The Thai embassy in Cambodia said that its government will put its effort to arrest and deport back to Cambodia any suspected former Khmer Rouge leaders who will be judged by the KR Tribunal, and who will flee to Thailand. A local news media quoted a letter from the Thai embassy which stated on 03 October that the Thai government contributed $24,331 to the KR Tribunal also, therefore, Thailand does not think that these suspects will flee to Thailand. However, if there will be former KR leaders who flee to Thailand, the Thai government will not ignore them, it will search for them, arrest them, and deport them back to Cambodia. However, the first secretary of the Thai embassy in Cambodia, Thitichai Sengpithak, said that the possibility of these suspects to flee to Thailand is very slim, because they are under close scrutiny of the Cambodian authority. Ieng Sary, the former KR minister of foreign affairs, who could be declared as a suspect by the KR Tribunal, is currently in Bangkok for heart medical treatment.

What a cooperative attitude from the fellow dictatorial government of junta of hypocrite Siam palace.
Hun Sen still has direct line to nearby Cubano embassy for airvac in case his big brother Ieng Sary wants to go to Habana for medical check up.
Remember back in 79 and later on Cubano Volunteereed Commando Squad were roaming Cambod along with Yuons.
This is good, we don't want to trial anyone without a clean bill of health. I just hope they fixed him up good and on time for the trial.
