Villagers Plan Protest to Oust Official

Chiep Mony, VOA Khmer
Original report from Phnom Penh
11 October 2007

At least 500 villagers plan to protest in Battambang province to protest the removal of a local deputy police chief, organizers said.

Villagers say Heng Chantho, deputy police chief from Banan town, Battambang province, has abused his position, including firing his weapon near villagers in a dispute.

Villagers also say they've been falsely detained and had logs stolen by Heng Chantho.

Serious allegations against him could be considered "defamation," Heng Chantho said.

"In the name of police officers, I fulfill my duty," he said.

What the fuck AH Heng Chantho is trying to do by using defamation to shield himself?

Oh please! There are 500 villagers who said AH HENG CHANTHO behaves like an animal! If I were the judge I don't need 500 villagers to be a witness and only I need is three witnesses and I will put this mother fucker in a cage just like that!

This is what I really hate when the CPP Vietcong slave officials treated Khmer people like little children! I hope AH HENG CHANTHO better back down and to have 500 villagers as his enemies are too many enemies for one to handle and soon they will surround him!

Why are you so afraid of a defamation charge? Nothing can defeated the truth.

Khmer must wake up, look and listen. These thugs have changed their names from yuon to Khmer.

We don't care about name. French, Muslim, Japanese, make no difference. The troublemaker will be out of business soon.
