The Australian embassy in Cambodia organized a celebration for the foundation pouring of a new embassy building in Phnom Penh on 14 November 2007. The new building is located to the south of the National Assembly and the ministry of Foreign Affairs. Australian ambassador Margaret Adamson explained that there are two reasons for this new construction: (1) A large number of embassy employees could not accomplish their work in the current embassy building which is very tight, whereas, over the years, the number of embassy employees has grown to about 70; (2) Ambassador Adamson said that Australia wants to increase the knowledge of Australia in Cambodia in order to reach cooperation between the two countries to achieve lasting peace, social and economic development in Cambodia. Amb. Adamson said that the new building will be inaugurated in 18 months.

Those who have lost their land to Kith Meng must register their name within a group and waiting for a government change and will put their claim against Kith Meng for recompensation. This animal Kith Meng cannot get aways for his robbery. He can mede 10 millions from this illegal dealt. But he need to pay out in the future 100 millions to his victims for time lost and time of sufferings. Please do not lost their confidence. People power

I believe that Kith Meng will haunted by his victims in the future. The same problem for Australian Embassador in Cambodia. If anyone can write this story to Austalian herald to tell them that Australian Embassador has bought this land from Kith Meng (from landgrabbed land) this story will be in headline in Australia and labour party can use this story for his political story too.

I think we ought to take a little time to seek out the truth before accusing anyone for any misdeeds. Quick judgment will lead us to regrets, disappointment, fights, revenge ect... How many times that we see people alleging each other for something that they did not do and still end up not talking to each other for the rest of their life? and regret that they did it? I am not saying to defending anyone but I just wanted us to be a more concrete for what happened before accusing each other. We cannot catch on fire just because of hearsay. In Western country we have trusted judicial system and still some verdicts surprised us. In Cambodia the stage of mind is even more dire and thus we need to leave a lot room before believing anyone. Trust me there are a lot sick, ignorant evils out there to hurt each other.

Well, the truth is Kith Meng was nice enough to let squatters used his property so that they can earn some money in the city. And when Kith Meng needed his land back, squatters refused to give it back. This type of problem is nothing new. It has been all over Cambodia, and it is not good because it discouraged the rich from being nice to the poor. So if you own land in Cambodia, it is risky for you to let anyone use it when you are away or not planning to do something with it right away.
