WASHINGTON -- Washington Sen. Maria Cantwell will travel to Cambodia Friday to discuss ways to combat poverty in that country, one of the world's poorest.
Cantwell, a Democrat and member of the Senate Finance Committee, is expected to return Nov. 30.
Cantwell's office says the trip will also address the impact of poverty on women, global health and Cambodia's challenges with human trafficking.
Cantwell is co-sponsor of a bill to give preferential duty treatment to exports from the world's least-developed countries, including Cambodia.

Dear Senator:
You don't need to discuss it. Poverty is caused by the government. You already know the answer to the problem. Get rid of the cpp and youn colonization and Cambodia will experience prosperiety. Therefore, you need to support with all you got to the party that promise democracy and justice to its people. The bottom line is the cpp and youn is the culprit to Cambodia suffering.
Not even close. The root of poverty is excessive Ah Shameless Khmer-Yuon squatters from south vietnam stole all khmer lands and jobs in Cambodia.
