Bangkok - An explosion at a karaoke bar in Samut Prakan, an industrial suburb of Bangkok, killed one man and injured nine other people, news reports said Saturday.
The blast occurred Friday night at the Nakon Phanom Girls Bar in Samut Prakan, a province neighbouring the capital that is notorious for its congestion and factories employing cheap labour, said The Nation online news service.
Police said the man killed by the blast was a Cambodian labourer.
Friends of the victim claimed he had pulled out a grenade to show off in the bar, but the pin fell out, detonating the device.

Maybe it's time Khmer people learn to be more respectful in terms of usage of words to criticize people who don't agree with them. Based on the comments in this forum, it shows that everyone posting comments here are very concerned about the farewell of Cambodia and its people. However the ways people attack each other in here are very harsh, mentally degrading, and very low class although it seems they all have been pretty well educated. The truth is Khmers have been like that. It's time to change, not only for ourselves but for the name of Khmer. Please be respectful of each other no matter which side of political party you are against.
You have to remember the fact that the vast majority of OUR Khmer people are living in dreadful and fearful environment due to fear of reprisal from a dictatorial regime.
Two people have been tracked from the CPP party: one of them is from the Minisry of Interior, and the other is from Ministry of Information who are trying to downplay the current situation in Cambodia.
Moreover, these clowns do not deserve RESPECT from us (true Khmer).

The truth is, what we have here is simply a clash of cultures between East and West and Ah Khmer-Krohom and Khmer-Yuon troublemakers in between.
The video is quite old. The violent is very high then because there are plenty of Ah Khmer-Yuon and KR mad dogs running lose in the country who perpetrate all sorts of crimes in Cambodia, but they all will ultimately be stopped, one way or another.
PM Hun Sen, at that time, had not yet used to Westerner format of interview and found it insulting, and he end up lashed at them quite often. As a consequences, some westerner think he is a violent man who perpetrated all the crimes in Cambodia and fabricated all sorts of video against him.
Look, you go and watch the video again, scene by scene. And when you see any crime scene that is perpetrated by PM Hun Sen, write down the counter, timer, or the clock reading, and tell me about it. Just because everything is narrated by the pissed-off journalist, it doesn't mean it is the truth. It's ridiculous and unfair to only listen to one side of the story.
That's right, 9:54, and wait until the border guards heard about Khmer crossing the border with grenades. You can bet more of them will be shot. This type of foolishness must be stopped if we are to have peace in the region in the near future.

Well, Thailand don't have anyone playing with grenade before, and we have lot of stray Khmer Rouges here who still play with the grenade now and then.
