Samdach Hun Sen said that the fuel price increase should be blamed on OPEC, and the government is not the source of the fuel price increase. This is rightly so because Samdach Hun Sen is only the prime minister and he is not a fuel dealer.
He already told everyone not to buy too many cars and motorcycles. He wants Cambodians learn how to walk so that they wouldn’t be affected by high cholesterol diseases. As for the transportations (of merchandises), Samdach wants the people to use carts pulled by oxen, buffaloes and horses, and if the markets are nearby, he wants us to learn how to carry (the merchandises) on pole over our shoulders, on our heads, on the backend of a pole over our shoulders, on our hips, or on our shoulders, and this also helps the environment as well. However, the population does not listen to him, therefore, how can anybody blame Samdach for the fuel price increase?

What AH HUN SEN is saying that Cambodian people should live like the nomad or the Stone Age people! And this motherfucker can afford to ride limousine, airplane, helicopters, cars...and why do he need to give a fuck about what is going on with hike in gas price!
Oh well! This mother fucker doesn’t even practice what he preaches and now he is asking Cambodian people to do what he preaches?
I suggest this mother fucker needs to tell his wife, his children, and his relatives, his mother, and his father, and all his corrupted friends!
"Fuel price increase is not the government problem! "
That is true and people knows that this government is imcompetent and unaccountable including the PM.
he speaks unbelievable madness. I cannot believe a person with so many PhDs and Science degree who lives in 21th century speaks like this man. He is mad.
THE LAW OF CONSERVATION OF ENERGY, "STATES ENERGY CANNOT BE CREATED, NOR DESTROYED"
Solar Energy: Cambodia has enough daylight hours for solar panels if the CPP care enough for the country and the citizens. Clean and no Hazardous byproducts.
Wind Energy: for the wind turbines to work we needed wind speed. The minimum speed requirement are 1) small turbine needs approx 9 mph. 2) large turbine needs approx 13mph in order to work and generate electrical output. A small turbine generate enough energy need for a home, while a large generate enough energy for 600 homes. It' clean.
A large turbine has energy compacity of 1.8MW output. If the CPP is caring for the country and the citizens in this last 30 years. We wouldn't be buying electricity from Thailand and Vietnam.
CPP (Cons Pro People).
Since all or most gas stations are owned by Hun Sen family, the country is being monopolized by the strongman! Yes, you are to blame for the rises. You are in controlled in the relieved for people problem. What kind of a leader to tell people to walk?
That'w what happen when you have more than 2 PhDs, especially those from Vietnam.
This fuel price issue is not good for our economy. I think someone said this here also. Moreover, the government can only do so much about it because the government is not in the fuel business. The only thing is can do (if not yet done) is to introduce more competition from the neighboring countries, that is if the neighboring countries has cheaper gas price. It may be able to lower the tax slightly if it doesn't effect the salary of the civil servants. That is about it. The rest depend on the rest of the world to reduce the high demand for fuel in order to lowered the price from OPEC.
Are those the best solutions Hun Sen could come up with? How small is his brain?
However, it is his typical trademark that most senior CPP officials also follow:
1. If there is a problem, blame someone else.
2. Propose an alternative solution to the people, no matter how stupid it may be.
3. Ban any logical arguments or viable alternatives to that suggested solution on the government-controlled media.
4. Use force and judiciary to silence any critics.
His collectible PhDs mean Permanent Head Damage.
James Sok knows tooooooo much.
Ches-Deung creun huos.
Kmean Norna ches dauch neay Sok nis te!
hun sen and his families should be a model for people to follow like walking to work etc.
The tax rate for fuel is approximately 120% compare to neighboring countries our tax is the highest. And the margin of profit that petroleum companies charge are very high. Because those companies like sokimex and Tela are linked to CPP.
It cost an arm and a leg to buy gas in Cambodia. And I think it is too much when it's 75% fuel and 25% water. If ah Hun cannot control or lower the cost, and his supporters states that CPP gives jobs. Then, give the people way of commuting.
MASS NATIONAL TRANSIT SYSTEMS, UPGRADE THE DEFECT RAIL SYSTEMS, AND STOP TELLING US TO WALK. Hun Sen if you know anything about economy, you wouldn't want to sit on the Cows' back and carrying a sack on your head. That kinds of mindset, you won't be able to progress into the globalization age.
Hun Sen, I hope you die from chain smoking (lung cancer), heart attack from high cholesterol, and major aneurysm in your head.
Anonymous said: solar and wind can't provided the needed electricity. Plus, 1.8MW is not enough either. What we needed is about 2GigaWatt of power to fuel all the businesses and residential in Cambodia.

1.8MW is just one wind turbine, but if you want more add it up. If Hun Sen give the money back from what he stole from the people, says $ 600 million buy 200 wind turbines with complete system requirement that would give 520MW of Clean Renewal Energy. 6 solar panels on a roof top of the residential, would get you off the grid. Would the CPP do it?
Gentleman
It is unbelievable response from our PM regarding fuel price risen.
It is in fact difficulty that poor cambodians have faced in addition to struggling to end meet of their daily living. It is taken as blame for and problem for him instead.
It is very difficult to talk to person who never consider anything faced for a resolution, but negative response to it.This PM is familar to only talk but not listen. His listening skill is simply not working. He should be promoted further where he does not need to know anything, totally handicapped.
That is why thirty years in power, number of roads have been built by foreign assistance, and not to use by cambodians but for trading trucks, simlpy waking is good for you cambodians unless you are fat cats then fuel can be your allowance.
Incredible PM!!!.
Neang SA
In most countries in the region their currencies have significantly appreciated against the $US (which is used to buy oil). This has helped lessen the impact of oil prices rises in these countries for the consumer.
A country's exchange rate policy is DIRECTLY a matter of a government's decision-making. Cambodia's currency, the Riel, has hardly moved against the $US in the last year (for example if compared with the Thai Baht). So in Cambodia those that actually pay for their fuel (unlike the gas guzzling lexus/land cruiser-wielding senior civil servants & military) feel double the impact. Once, because oil is more expensive to buy on the world market; and twice, because their currency hasn't appreciated against the dollar either.
How is the Cambodia's exchange rate policy not within the RGC's direct sphere of responsibility ?
Pouk Ah CPP Party Nis Yeay Doch Chke Teanh Proath,Heay Ni Mouy Ni Mouy Kdeng Cor.New England Patriot Resident.

12:14, except for a few people, everyone is slave to someone, but I have not heard much complain when those people have money to raise their family. Are you much different or better than most of us (slave) or something?
How dare this government says" Fuel price increase is not the government problem!" that is irresponsible.
Well, it isn't. we didn't brought up the price of fuel. It is the spoiled people in the developed countries who caused the fuel price skyrocketing.
