An official from the Human Rights Party (HRP) indicated that a sign belonging to his party, located near the Monivong Bridge in Tonle Bassac commune, Phnom Penh city, was removed and taken away by an anonymous person in the evening of 20 November 2007. Ky Lay Sieb, HRP executive director for Phnom Penh city, told RFA that his party sign was removed and taken away by an anonymous person in the evening of 20 November, and he considers that this removal was done to prevent people from recognizing the HRP. Ky Lay Sieb also said that the removal of his party sign is a discrimination as well because the nearby Funcinpec sign was not removed. However, Khat Narith, the Tone Bassac commune chief, said that he did not know about the disappearance of the HRP sign because when this party installed, they did not inform him about this. He said that if a new sign erected, he would help keep an eye on it.

It is not a new thing; typically before every election, all opposition parties's signs are wendalized or destroyed by the ruling party members. It is rarely to see that the CPP's signs are destroyed or removed by the lacal authorities or other people although the CPP has the most number of signs avertising all over the country. Now it just a begining to remove the signs; next they will remove the candidate one by one. This is the CPP's "status quo" they must stop otherwise the election is just a rubber stamp to legitimize the evil regime.

Hey, stop trying to blame the CPP for everything here, just because they will win the election by a landslide. Everyone knows Ah Khmer-Yuon and Ah Khmer-Krohorm criminals have been framing the CPP for everything because both of them hate the CPP for different reasons.
