A Japanese company had decided to delay the widening of about 2-kilometer of NR1 starting from the abutment of Preah Moniving bridge (Chhbar Ampov) to the Wat Niroth Pagoda. The Rasmei Kampuchea newspaper reported that, according to an official from the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, the reason for this temporary delay is due to the tardiness of Cambodian side to resolve disputes on lands bordering the road. Because of this tardiness, the Japanese construction company decided to delay the construction for a while. According to plan, the widening of 2-kilometer road length will be such that each direction will measure 25-meter from the road centerline. The Japanese embassy issued an official letter indicating that the construction of NR1 is currently delayed, and the construction will restart again in 2008.

Well, I didn't block any road from being build, only Ah Khmer-Yuons did, and we have to take care of it immediately. We can possibly wait forever in poverty for them ticks and fleas to move away.
