On 01 November, Prince Sisowath Thomico severely criticized Funcinpec by considering this party as no longer being a Sihanoukist party anymore, because F’pec selected Princess Norodom Arunrasmy to oppose Prince Norodom Ranariddh, whereas the pair are both King-Father’s children.
Prince Thomico told reporters: “F’pec leadership boasted that they are Sihanoukists, today, I am rejecting their claim.”
Prince Thomico added that F’pec is neither a royalist party, nor a Sihanoukist party. If it were to be royalist, it would have initiated a union policy and a national reconciliation, but instead, it is Samdach Dek Cho Hun Sen who is organizing the national unity, and those who are boasting themselves to be royalists who struggle to bring back the constitutional monarchy for the country, they ended up betraying the monarchy and the monarchic principles instead.
F’pec leadership no longer supports Sihanouk’s standing anymore because F’pec leadership is presenting the candidacy of King-Father’s youngest daughter to oppose Prince Ranariddh, her own brother. Prince Thomico asked: “Where can His Majesty hide his face when one of his children is opposing another one.”
Prince Thomico told reporters that, starting Monday, he will withdraw his confidence from the F’pec leadership which is unable to lead F’pec anymore because it betrays the Sihanoukist principles and the F’pec principles which were laid down by King-Father who founded this party in 1981.
From today on, Prince Thomico said that, each week, he will visit the party grass root levels to explain to the middle and grass root levels of the F’pec party members in provinces, districts and communes, so that all these party members withdraw their confidence from the current F’pec leadership. If there were to be a new path, the only choice would be to tear down the current F’pec leadership structure and organize anew the ability for the middle and grass root level party members who are true royalists, so they can express their own position.
The prince said that each of the current F’pec leaders boasts that they removed Prince Ranariddh in order to establish democracy in the party, but where can democracy be, if Nhiek Bun Chhay and Lu Lay Sreng decide whatever they want. The selection of Prince Arunrasmy as candidate for the premiership was Nhiek Bun Chhay and Lu Lay Sreng’s idea, it was not a decision made by the grass root party members, nor by the middle ranking party members.
The prince warned that both F’pec and NRP will be disintegrated if the two parties are not searching for a solution to unite with each other. The prince said that he places all the blames on Nhiek Bun Chhay, F’pec secretary-general, and on Lu Lay Sreng, F’pec vice-president No. 1, and that the two do not have the ability to lead the royalist movement after they decided to split this movement.
However, Nouv Sovathero, state secretary of the Ministry of Information and F’pec spokesman, said: “We will not be disintegrated like those who want to see us disintegrated. Even if these 3 royals (Thomico, Sirivuth, and Vacheara) are not in F’pec, this party will not be disintegrated. We will still move forward.”
Besides this, Nouv Sovathero claimed that F’pec still faithfully follow the path set by Hero-King Norodom Sihanouk in 1981. He added that F’pec was not formed just yesterday, and that when it was formed, it was formed when leaders and fighters invited King-Father to become the party president.
Nouv Sovathero criticized Prince Thomico, saying that whatever he said, it was done because his thinking is shallow, and that it is merely his personal view. He added that “Prince Thomico cannot see further than the tip of his nose.”

To Sisowath Thomico,
You have openly blamed Nhiek Bun Chhay and Lu Lay Sreng for the disunion of the royals and the disintegration of the Funcinpec party. I am no fan of either Nhiek Bun Chhasy or Lu Lay Sreng. But from my point of view, your criticism is totally and utterly wrong. Think about the following points;
1- When Hun Sen threatened to crush Funcinpec and exterminate all the royals including then Prince Sihanouk after the CPP polled poorly in the May 1993 elections, who forced the Funcinpec party to share power with Hun Sen? It was King-Father Norodom Sihanouk, wasn't it. Since that historic capitulation to the Hanoi-controlled CPP, Khmer people have lost confidence in as well as respect for the royalist party and Funcinpec's popularity has nosedived more rapidly than people think it would have.
2- After the July 5-6, 1997, coup d'etat, Cambodia's seat in the UN was suspended as a punishment to Hun Sen's contempt to the international community in general and to the donor countries in particular. Worse still, ASEAN had chucked into the rubbish bin Cambodia's application to join this South-east Asian grouping. Who forced Funcinpec President, Prince Norodom Ranariddh, who fled Cambodia for his life only hours before the coup actually started, to come back to Phnom Penh and reconcile with the traitor Hun Sen? It was again King-Father Norodom Sihanouk, wasn't it. And that dealt another blow to Funcinpec's popularity.
3- Using health reason as a pretext, King Norodom Sihanouk abdicated for his son King Norodom Sihamoni in October 2005. That sounded reasonable for a lunatic or a retarded only. Because in reality, King-Father simply paved the way to his son to endorse the October 2005 supplemental treaty to the 4 treacherous treaties Heng Samrin and Hun Sen signed to cede a lot of Khmer lands to Vietnam. That was a treacherous act from the part of King-Father Norodom Sihanouk, wasn't it.
4- Very recently, King-Father has elevated the current Cambodia's Prime Minister to the rank of Samdech Moha Senapadey Decho Hun Sen, the Cambodia's historic hero second to King Jayavarman VII only. This unnecessary promotion triggers 2 following questions:
(a) The whole world knows that Hun Sen is the lackey of Hanoi, thus a traitor. Somehow, this traitor is elevated to only one rank below King Jayavarman VII. Was Jayavarman VII a traitor as well to the eyes of King-Father Norodom Sihanouk?
(b) If King-Father Norodom Sihanouk implied that Jayavarman VII was a traitor to His nation, whose interests has King-Father served? Is it safe to say that King-Father Norodom Sihanouk has meticulously worked a plan with his adopted son Hun Sen to sell Cambodia to Hanoi?
For your information, Thomico, the Khmer Monarchy is dead since King Norodom Sihamoni's endorsement of the October 2005 supplemental treaty to the 4 treaties Heng Samrin and Hun Sen signed in 1979, 1982, 1983 and 1985.

There are so many royal clans
in a poor country like cambodia.It is not to praise whether sihanoukist or other royalist.
What has happened proving that these groups only serve themselve,not for the interest of the country.Appears that they really are out of touch with reality.
There are so many prince and princess claimed, and poor cambodians getting confused who to worship? and what for?
Royal palace should set up a ground rule on moral or ethics, otherwise there are quantity, of a supposed social elite,and not any in quality to our society.
FUNCINPEC had objective goals to achieve, saving the country but not selling the country.

Yes 7:01, and among other paragraph, I agree totally with number 3 on palace's rules. Plus, there should also be an independent mediator (perhaps a senior monk) to help them settle all disputes for the sake of our future. We can't no longer tolerated these people running wild and do whatever they want.
