The two photos of Phnom Penh street scenes above are posted online by P. Virak who described them as follows:
The riches (rich people) spend their time in expensive restaurants spending their dollars like there is no tomorrow and the poor and hopeless roam the street at night to search the garbage...
Top Photo: A gentleman without a leg looking into a "Kouy Teav" (noodle) Retaurant waiting to beg for 100 riels ($0.03).
Bottom Photo: This woman, too, is begging to support her baby...

This is Phnom Penh "Pearl of Asia" of the Modern Royal of Cambodia II,
when it royal government comes to land-grabbing, illegal eviction of the poor Cambodians, lavish lifestyle of gov't officials, gov't streets thuggers, street car racing of the gov't General's sons.
Ah Hun Sen.....are you blind??????
Ah hun Sen.....are you deaf??deaf??
Wherever there is a capitalist economy, there will be some riches. Nothing we can do about that without making things worse for Cambodia at this moment.
At least they are spending moneys to stimulate the economy and keep things moving. Thus, it isn't all bad.
