An official from the ministry of meteorology and water resources indicated that there are two simultaneous storms brewing in the South China Sea and in the Pacific Ocean, and both storms are heading towards South Vietnam, and if their courses remain the same, they will also affect Cambodia on 23-24 November, the same days the Boat Race festival will take place. Long Saravuth, director of the meteorology department, told the Rasmei Kampuchea on Wednesday that his department did not inform the public yet about these storms because they are still to far away, and they have no influence yet on Cambodia. He said that if these two storms maintain their courses, they could affect Cambodia on the days of the Boat Race festival.

I think we will be okay: The north storm (Mitag) will be in north of Manilla all days on the 25th (worst case day).

As for the south storm (Hagabis,) it will probably continue to move north, and if it will be inland in Cambodia on the 25th, it will be close to the border of Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia, but we will feel occasional wind gust up to about 10 knots top, which is like ceiling fan running at full speed temporarily. It will be comfy as hell for the patrons. I think it will be the greatest years for us, hehehe.

Oh damn, I just look at the satellite picture, and it appeared that there are lot of water in the system. Thus, I would bring umbrella along to the Om Touk festival.

Appealing to all Khmer compatriots

Translation: All Cambodian Compatriots,

Now, national and international people are paying attention to the progressive former Khmer Rouge leaders trial, but the hottest issue is likely forgotten.

The defrocking of Monk Tim Sakhorn and sent him to be tried in Vietnam is the current national hottest issue of Cambodia that it is more important than the trial of former Khmer Rouge leaders because the trial expects to build a rule of laws, eliminate the culture of impunity, and remedy the Cambodian PTSDs.

But in case of Tim Sakhorn has created the doubt that current Cambodian people based on what law and regulation to ensure that they have Khmer citizenship especially according to the national constitution. As they didn't explain clearly the Khmer citizenship of Tim Sakhorn, and neglecting him until he is being tried by that Vietnamese court freely, intensifies the doubt that Cambodia has no their own status and identity especially the national law and citizenship.

The case of Khmer Kampuchea Krom is very important, government has to deal with this case only inside Cambodia, government should not neglect in case of Tim Sakhorn because this is the sign of losing Cambodian national sovereignty.

Please, rethink again the different between the Khmer Rouge trial and Khmer citizenship regulation, which one is more important than? Or the current progressive former Khmer Rouge leaders trial just to manipulate Khmer people not to pay attention their national citizenship law and identity?

I just check the weather, and it looks like the storm is slowing down and appear to lose its eye, which is a sign of weakening. The bad part is that there are a lot of water in the system and it will stay in Vietnam for a while, but we will get some of the edge of the wind and cloud. Thus, we have to expect occasional precipitation and a little more wind now and then, but it will be cool and comfy from the breeze.

PS: Oh, the above was my weather forecast as we approach the end of bun om tuk on the 25th.
