The houses were funded by the Government’s Programme 134 and donations from localities.

Three districts of Vinh Chau, My Xuyen and Long Phu were recognised for having constructed 2,000 each.

Apart from houses of gratitude, job placement, capital support and agricultural technical instructon were also offered to the Khmer community in Soc Trang.

Head of the provincial department for nationalities Nguyen Huu Tam said that nearly 4,000 Khmer families have enjoyed better living standards and the proportion of poor families has decreased to 30 percent as they are being provided with preferred capital from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policy.

The bullshit propagenda news from vietnam we should not believe. If they build one house, they said they build 1000 house.

If Vietnam government is nice to Khmer Krom, you willnot see Khmer Krom protest left and right to demand for returning their land back.

Since Khmer Krom protested recently, the Vietnam government must release some progagenda news like this to tell the world that they are helping Khmer Krom.

It is just like Hun Sen regime, before the election, they usually say that they build house, provide foods for the poor, but that is just a propagenda because Hun Sen regime learns that from its master YOUN.

Whatever the Khmer Krom get from Vietnam is a positive result from a non-violent protests and demands from all Khmer Krom around the world. Without pressure from outside Khmer Krom, the Vietnamese government not only forget about the welfare of the Khmer Krom, but they gradually try to eliminate them from their homeland. So all Khmer Krom must unify in a single force so that you voces will be heard by Hanoi.
