This is how Sihanouk destroying Cambodia through a methode of I am scrathing your back and you are going to scrath my back. With this kind of birth day gift from Sihanouk, Hun Sen will increase the budget for the Palace from 5 millions US dollars to US$ 6 millions. However, this public gift is considered as a culture of favoritism, nepotism, cronyism, bribery, popular strategy,.....and it is not good example for Cambodian younger generations.

Did the $5000 gift from Sihanouk destined for bribery or to help poor Khmer people? In the past, Sihanouk used to encourage Khmers to fight against Khmers for his own power and as such he did not care about Khmers. Therefore, the gift must be a bribe to buy favor only.
Come on! $5000 is not even enough for 10 for a night in Phnom Penh nowsadays.
