Phnom Penh - An Indian businessman was in custody facing charges of tampering with use-by dates on expired medicines and reselling them, local media reported Wednesday. Local daily Rasmei Kampuchea quoted Municipal Economic Police Chief Pich Pannha as saying Indian national Kartik Sayay, director of Pragya Co Ltd, was arrested at his home in the centre of the capital Monday. His age was not given.
The paper said he faced court a day later and was remanded in custody after police allegedly found equipment for repackaging medicine under fake names and stamping false expiry dates.
If convicted he faces between 10 and 20 years in jail. Fake and falsely labeled medicines kill scores of Cambodians each year and the government has increasingly acted to combat the problem.

Good job indeed, that's what we call serve, protect, defend people.
Yes a good job.
We all say thank you to Samdech Hun Sen that his police is protecting the Cambodian people against this fraudulent Business man from India!
Uhhhh!
I dont think this is real. i think that the Indian man did not give the cpp minister money so the minister have no choice but to act this out, after the indian man give the minister the undertable money then he allow to sell again. this act is only to show people that the cpp care about the people as election is coming soon. so cpp have to act something. just think if you the custom officer know the items is expire or going to expire why do you still allow people to import it in. you the cpp member is the usless people.
What happen to these HunSen cronies? Was his childhood development corrupted by birth? Why are they carry on the trait of corruption?
"John Bowlby devoted extensive research to the concept of attachment, describing it as a "lasting psychological connectedness between human beings" (Bowlby, 1969, p. 194). Bowlby shared the psychoanalytic view that early experiences in childhood have an important influence on development and behavior later in life. Our early attachment styles are established in childhood through the infant/caregiver relationship.
In addition to this, Bowlby believed that attachment had an evolutionary component; it aids in survival.

I don't want to land Cambodian officials a compliments yet since all of them are corrupted. I doubt the Indian business man can get a fair trial. It could be a trick orchestrated by Hun Sen police and courts to go after his money; therefore, don't jump into conclusion so fast.
Combodia is too corrupt country to do business in, if they arrest good people who believe everyone has right for best medical cure, i wish all of combodians - my best luck.
