Hun Sen warns an unnamed senior politician19 December 2007

On Wednesday, prime minister Hun Sen accused a senior politician who allegedly acted as his spy, and he warned that he will publicly reveal the proofs, if this politician does not stop criticizing his leadership.
At a speech given during the inauguration of a canal built with Japanese aid in Kandal Stung district, Kandal province, Hun Sen did not directly reveal the name of this politician whom he said used to be his internal agent, and received money from him to allow him to succeed in the 1997 bloody coup d’état, but that now this politician dares criticize him openly.
Hun Sen said: “Watch out, I will publish the tape recorded messages and documents. Some were only my little spies during the (coup d’état) fighting period only, don’t act like a pro, you can’t jump. You took my money and went to work for me as a spy, whatever position you are in, you know it, don’t be so rude, if you can’t talk back, will lightning strike you? I did that much already. Now, you even criticize my son also.”
Hun Sen’s rage took place because, recently, he was under several criticisms regarding the problem of very high gasoline price.
Khieu Kanharith refused to comment on Hun Sen’s warning on this unnamed politician, and human rights officials do not understand who this warning is aimed at. However, several politicians suspect that this warning was directed at opposition MP Son Chhay.
Opposition MP Son Chhay recognized that he criticized non-stop Hun Sen’s leadership, in particular, regarding the price of gasoline issue. Son Chhay said that, recently, he also directed his criticisms on Hun Manet, Hun Sen’s son, who was named as the director of the committee for distribution of scholarships to poor students.
Son Chhay indicated that, in spite of the fact that he is not sure if the warning is aimed at him or not, his criticisms may not be well received by Hun Sen.
Son Chhay said: “We know that our PM has so many tricks (in his sleeve) to preserve his power, but I am saying that being alike politicians who are working together for so many years, there should be mutual respect. And we should have thick skins because it is normal for public figures to be criticized.”
If indeed Hun Sen’s warning is aimed at Son Chhay, then this would be the second time that MP Son Chhay is warned by Hun Sen. Last year, Son Chhay attacked Hor Nam Hong, the minister of Foreign affairs, in Heng Pov’s case, Son Chhay told Hor Nam Hong that his language is childish and he is irresponsible.
Son Chhay said that he is not concerned about his personal safety (because of Hun Sen’s warning).

Why are you so mad on this matter? Is it because it deeply hits your heart? Stay calm and find ways to review yourself of what you did/ are doing. Working as PM, Mr. Chhay dare to say things like these.
Come on Mr. Hun Sen and be a sportsmanship! You know full well that this is politic! You should know your past action like one in the 1980 and you even curse King Sihanouk just to please the Vietcong master! But when King Sihanouk confronted you and you said it is all politic! Ahahhahaha!
You can't threaten Sam Rainsy Party with your spy story which implicated Mr. Son Chhay as your mole! This is the sign of time for you to say good bye to politic after 2008 and the opposition is not afraid to shake your hand and show you the way out the door! Ahahahahahhaahah!
Go on Hun Sen and you can go on fighting with yourself, with your wife, with the opposition party, with the UN, the Human Right, with the ASEAN, and fight and fight! And believe me dirt poor Cambodian people will continue to do the same as you and that is to fight and to kill each other in your name or the party affiliation!

Now he admits to paying bribes and under the counter cash payments. If the bottom man is guilty of a crime then the top man who organized the crime is also guilty.
Cambodia complains to UN chief over rights envoy

PHNOM PENH (AFP) — Cambodia has made a formal complaint to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon about his envoy's scathing appraisal of the nation's courts, Prime Minister Hun Sen said Thursday.
Yash Ghai, the UN human rights envoy to Cambodia, ended a 10-day visit last week without obtaining a single meeting with any Cambodian officials.
Before leaving, Ghai said that Cambodia's judiciary has failed to provide justice, leaving the population in fear of going to court and threatening the rule of law.
"We have sent a letter to the United Nations to challenge him on the issue," Hun Sen said during a graduation ceremony.
"Anyone who supports his report is the vilest person," said the premier, who has vowed never to meet with Ghai.
Hun Sen did not reveal the letter's contents.
But in a Khmer-language letter dated December 18 to Ban, a copy of which obtained by AFP Thursday, Cambodia's ambassador to the UN, Sea Kosal said the kingdom was "very disappointed about the rude attitude" of Ghai.
"Yash Ghai has insulted Cambodia's people and government," Sea Kosal said
"Due to the repeated insults by Yash Ghai, Cambodia's government is considering whether the UN secretary general's representative is still necessary," he added.
Ghai has repeatedly clashed with Cambodian leaders in the past due to his unusually blunt assessments of Cambodia's reform failures.
Hun Sen has never met Ghai, who was appointed as the UN rights envoy in November 2005.
The premier has called Ghai "stupid," "rude" and a "god without virtue."
Oh come on! This is not the first time that AH HUN SEN threaten Mr. Son Chhay as his spy agent! Why AH HUN SEN has to wait so long until it is near election time and then start screaming about the spy issue?
AH HUN SEN himself used to be spying for Pol Pot and then switched camp and began spying for the Vietcong master! I am not surprised this! AH HUN SEN will never be truthful with Cambodian population!
By the way there are many former top high ranking CPP officials who are currently working inside the Sam Rainsy Party! Why AH HUN SEN singled out Mr. Son Chay and accused him as his spy agent? The reason is clear because Mr. Son Chay is one of the most outspoken SRP officials against Hun Sen corrupted government! This plain and simple!
Is this the ace of card for Hun Sen to use to win the Sam Rainsy Party in 2008?

Listen well,Hun Sen is frightened based on his advancing age and health deterioration:
1-Hun Sen is suffering incurable disease that beside his immediate family no one knows,
2-Hun Sen 's private relationship with his comrade in arm Sam Heang isn't cozy as it appeared in front of camera,
3-Hun Sen is threatened with his US influenced son and safety as he is out around more now,
4-Hun Sen is fearful that between Hoc lon di and Soc anh who might depose him sooner if he aligned his policy with anti-corruption,
Hun Sen is reaching his sunset state awaiting the storm.
By far General Ke Kim Yan remains a rogue to stop either Hoc lon di and Soc anh...coup de grace.
I hope Hun Sen's allegedly accussed Son Chay was groundless and I hope that Son chay's denial for Hun Sen's ex-spy is valid.

These two men can be friends or co-join in this tic-tac. In public They both can be seen as nasty and bitter.
Goal: No one know---but just only guess that To make Son Chay to gain more popular among Hun Sen's rivals. Then when the time comes, there will be upheaval among Hun Sen's opposition.
I hope this case is not true. But even is not true, the opposite party will continue embrass Son Chay as he is standing against the odd, but take it case, may be use this situation to gain litttle advantage between these two men's tic-tac to develop a plan to meet the worse condition down the road.
If this is the truth as what it stated in the article, PM Hun Sen has revealed direct evidents, which could incriminating himself - coup de'etat 1997.
This Hun Sen is a stupid jerk. Recently I read over his speech in Khmer and oh my gosh! He called Mr. Yash Ghai by the very despicable perjorative Khmer term of "Ah". Oh my gosh. I am shocked! This Hun Sen needs to be whipped by his mama and dada really hard in his behind.
All leaders of the civilized countries are normally subject to criticism and there is no exception even for Hun Sen. If you cannot take the heat, get the hell out of here (quote from Bush).
Didn't this prime minister sound like mafia? Hun Sen should be the one to be charged for the crime of bribery in attempt to commit the coupe which lead to many loss of lives; second, he should also be charged for conspiracy of the crime; third is knowingly withholding information of illegal acts and using it as a threat to leverage himself from criticism.
