Link to Yale's website on Pol Pot files regarding "Chhon"

On 13 December 2007, Khmer Intelligence reported about the "Evidence of Keat Chhon's role as Pol Pot's assistant," based on "Yale Cambodian Genocide Project Resources. The Pol Pot Files, 1975-1977". The link to this Yale document is:

KI Report:

Evidence of Keat Chhon's role as Pol Pot's assistant (1)

There is evidence to prove that Cambodian Finance Minister Keat Chhon was a close assistant to Khmer Rouge top leader Pol Pol. For instance, on 30 November 1975, Keat Chhon sent, in the form of a telegram, a report to Pol Pot about "the withdrawal of people from the East to the North". In his report, Keat Chhon mentioned several districts, especially Chhlaung, in Kratie province, which he is a native of. [There is currently a "Keat Chhon University" in Chhlaung]. Keat Chhon signed his telegram by writing only "Chhon". But Pol Pot had only one close assistant whose given name is "Chhon" and who is a native of Chhlaung district in Kratie province.

In other telegrams from the same period of time, a Khmer Rouge commander is referred to as "Pauk", but the whole name of the notorious commander is Ke Pauk, who was in charge of the Northern region.

then i as a Cambodian demand Keat Chon stand trial as an eyewitness to the Pol Pot tribunal. We cannot know the truth unless there are enough testimony and witness. Can we as Cambodian file complaint and lawsuit to have these witness,(i think it is a good compromise for their pride for us to just consider them as witness, so win-win situation, we will not sue you for your assistance to crime against humanity Keat Chon because you are protected by this government, so we want you to stand witness).

Why does our people have no sense of madness? our madness does not have expression. We must show our concern and file our complaints and demand these people tell us the truth

K. Chhon must be a very high ranking KR for him to have direct contact with Brother 1.

The question is, did K. Chhon commit any crimes during the KR rule? If so, what kind of crimes?

He was an advisor to Pol Pot for crying out loud! Who lost homes? families? and nearly life itself? and by whom? Cann't you figure that out? Come on!

Gentleman

As many khmer victims suspect, now evidence reveals KEAT CHHON is a closed link to Pol Pot.Direct crime or indirect crime he committed is remained to be proved to ECCC if we all seeks justice.

To be able to fit himself all these years as minister from Sangkum Reasts Niyum, Lon Nol regime, closed link to Angkar Leu and currently is holding as minister, there must be a lot owed cambodian victims and plenty to assist ECCC to achieve its objective.

It is imperial to summon him to ECCC court.
