Sok Kheang, the advisor to vice-prime minister and minister of rural development Lu Laysreng from the Funcinpec party, was arrested by police in the evening of 15 December at the Holyday Hotel in Phnom Penh under the charge of money swindling. The Rasmei Kampuchea reported that a source close to the police indicated that the arrest of Sok Kheang stems from his involvement in a breach of trust case regarding an amount of $128,160, and a plot land worth $140,000. The source indicated that, in addition to being Lu Laysreng’s advisor, the 43-year-old Sok Kheang is also the director of The Ornimix (spelling?) construction and tourist transportation company also. Another source indicated that Sok Kheang and his accomplices, in addition to swindling money from people, they are also involved in several other cases, such as inciting people living the train station community at Wat Neakavorn pagoda not to accept the political decision made by the government, and he was party to documents falsifications also.

Every position in Cambodia is acquired through bribery and as such when getting it, that person has to corrupt just like the business. You have the sell above cost in order to make profit. Eventually, Cambodia will collapse and Cambodians will not have country to call home.
