On 24 January, Cambodian Government-run Phnom Penh Television Kampuchea in Cambodian at 1200 GMT carried a four-minute video report, during its primetime evening newscast, on "His Excellency [HE] Sok An, deputy prime minister and minister of the Council of Ministers Office and the high representative of Samdech Akkeak Moha Senapakdei Decho Hun Sen, prime minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia presiding over a ceremony to inaugurate various facilities built by Samdech Akkeak Moha Senapakdei Decho Hun Sen's bodyguard unit in Kandal Province's Ta Khmau District on the morning of 24 January 2008."
The announcer says that after Maj. Gen. Dieng Sarun, deputy commander of the bodyguard unit, and Gen. Hing Bun-heang, deputy chief of Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen's cabinet, presenting reports on the past activities of the unit, "Deputy Prime Minister Sok An, in the name of Samdech Decho Hun Sen and in his own name, extolled and highly appreciated the efforts exerted by all the officers and troops as well as by generous people in building those facilities."
The announcer says Sok An urged the unit to "increase expertise and step up vigilance in order to provide personal security for leaders, firmly adhere to disciplines determined by higher levels, and maintain moral cleanness, honor, and dignity worthy being the bodyguards of top leaders."
The announcer says that at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Sok An also conferred decorations on a group of outstanding military leaders and generous people.

Why Hun Sen spend lot of donor money to protect himself? The money should go to poor people and public infrastructures. Ironically, The money is using for weapons and hiring spies.
What is the role of National police, militaty and military police?
I don't see any other party will be able to take over this regime. It is just impossible mission. That is why lot of other parties join CPP.
WHEN CAMBODIA GOES TO WAR WITH THAILAND IN THE NOT-TOO-DISTANT FUTURE, THE PRIME MINISTER WILL HAVE TO SEND SOME OF HIS BODYGUARDS TO JOIN IN THE TROOPS ON THE BORDER.
WHEN THAT TIME COMES, WE'LL SEE HOW STRONG ARE THESE BODYGUARDS AND THE REST OF THE TROOPS WHEN THEY HAVE TO MATCH THE THAI MILITARY MIGHT.
IT IS A GOOD FEELING TO SEE THESE TWO CHEAP DOGS FROM THE TWO NATIONS BITTING EACH OTHER.
LET ME BE THE CHEERLEADER AND SITTING ON MY SIDELINE AND WATCH LIKE WHEN THE U.S. WENT TO WAR WITH IRAG.
