A fear of Vietnamization in Cambodia and Khmer Race extinction is haunting all Cambodian communities around the world as well as in the country. In response to this fear, On January 26, 2008, about fifty Cambodian Americans in Minnesota have come together to form a Khmer Mchas Srok Branch in the state. At the meeting, the members have voted to choose a president, a vice president, three secretaries, a treasurer, and a numbers of advisors.
An important mission of this organization is to restore full independence and national sovereignty from Vietnamese expansionism policy and to brink back true democracy, self-determination, and the rule of law for our country. The president of this newly established organization has given a short speech to the members, focusing on an unfair border treaty with Vietnam, an alarming number of illegal Vietnamese Immigrants who continuously flowing into the country without check, and the growing influence of Vietnamese associations and businesses in the country.
The organization believes that at least there are 2 to 4 millions illegal Vietnamese Immigrants are currently living in Cambodia under the protection of the current regime. If the current government continues to rule the country for the next 30 to 50 years, Cambodia will automatically become Champa and Kampuchea Krom. The past and current situations have convinced the Khmer Mchas Srok that Vietnam is constantly and systematically swallowing Cambodian land through all kinds of mean.
To save Cambodia from the real danger of extinction, the Khmer Mchas Srok will appeal to all the signatory countries of the Geneva Peace Accord in 1954 and the Paris Peace Accord in 1991 to review and reinstate all clauses that had guaranteed the full sovereignty and independence of Cambodia. On the other hand, the Khmer Mchas Srok clearly states that it has no policy and intention to compete or challenge with any political party in Cambodia, but its sacred mission is to salvage our nation from the Vietnamese expansionism.
At the end of the emotional but enthusiastic meeting, the Khmer Mchas Srok Branch in Minnesota has called for all Cambodian communities around the world to rally and unify as a single force under an umbrella of the Khmer Mchas Srok in order to save our beloved country from Vietnamization.

Your comment is the best I ever read in KI comment. I am w/you for all the small, tiny parties to unify w/SRP in order to confront w/CPP. It's normal that everybody have differnce goals, ideas, but first goal is to win over CPP and then Try to change whatever is best for our country. The simple evidence is the United States: THERE ARE ONLY TWO BIG PARTY AT THE ELECTION.
As in Cambodia, those small parties organizers who think at least they will get one seat at the parliment will not do anythings to the majority of other party. What is good for one seat? If we added those seats to the opposite party, we will have the balance w/CPP.

i think it's a good idea to form this group as well. i hope this group also help to give good advice to the gov't as well. it is like forming a huge voice to remind people in cambodia to cater more to national interest and to steer away from special interest. this is very important for the kingdom. people in phnom penh are already super rich, so please stop being any more greedy, or like the old khmer proverb says 'if you're too agreedy even after you are full, your stomach can explode, then you can't enjoy your wealth.' enough already. it's time to help your people by recreating jobs, increase the living allowances as things are getting more and more expensive so everyone's salary should be raise to reflect this new phenomenon.

Khmer Mchas Srok Branch(KMSB), I personally condemn your political ambition in intending to antagonize the Vietnamization in Cambodia. I am not less indignant over the Eastern influences, but that is the reality. Our fear over the Vietnamization is inevitable. I suggest that the Phnom Penh needs bilterally to come up with a comprehensive solution, despite the recently sussessful demarcations. In the US, both illegal and legal immigrants are coming into the US from countries around the world today as we speak. But the Washington is working indefatigably on the immigration reforms. I urge the Phnom Penh to adopt the comprehensive solutions solely for the Cambodia interests.
If the KMSB is insisting to pursue this uncomprehensive movement, I can assure you that the international communities, the Human Rights groups particularly, and the Phnom Penh will strongly condemn it. Simultaneously, the newly established congress of KMSB will not be recognized as legitimate. The Phnom Penh will accuse the KMSB's political movement as a impediment to the security, stability of the county as its economic growth 10% for the last five years. That's significant.
I suggest that the KMSB should cooperatively align with the NGOs, the legitimate opposition party, or with the Phnom Penh to build Cambodia or you will end up exactly like UN special envoy Mr. Yash Ghai constantly being criticized. Recently, Mr. Yash Ghai is reconsidering this position, that's absolutely the right approach to have a solid relation with the Phnom Penh.
There are many illiterate Cambodian children desperately needed help the most, despite the undeveloped infrastructures. These are the few major issues that needed attentions.

If you don't like what was posted, just criticize it. I don't know, but I think there are a lot of English words to criticize which better than "Fuck me, Fuck you, or Fuck them." Your comment is posted on the Internet. Not only your group will read it but the whole world. Do you feel ashamed with your word posted when you go back and read what you posted? I don't think educated people would use these words for communicating with one another. I am just a common country person who live in the countryside with little education.

Remember friends! Our country now is in danger of foreing invasion from every corner. Inside the country, there are alot of crooks who are opportunists waiting for things to grasp. They farm on the back of the poor, farmers and ignorant. As you can see from Vanak posted some pictures of what really happend to those villagers. In my village is a different story, people live in horror. There are alot of robbery and killing especially at night. Because nothing to eat, the poor steal from poor. The people here sleep very little at night. The whole country turns to chaostic. Well, it is better than Pol Pot's, but Pol Pot's was the worst that no-one wants it to reoccur.
You don't know here, in P.Veng, the CPP members go from house to house threatening people especially pre-election period. When they lose they will go from house to house again to ask people who they voted for. Do you think it is fair for the ignorant who have no ideas what soever about election? This happened to my parents from last election. My parents somehow educated and they gave a very good feed back to them that they had no words to respond. If CPP know that these group of people will not vote for them, they pretend to have this or that pretext to create the inconvence for those people. It really happened to my friends.In our place there are no Vietnamese yet. So Vietnamese issues have not yet happened, but I happened to witness it in Phnom Penh when I was there. So the gentleman with the Vietnamese whores, just be careful they will eat you without knowing what you will lose. In P. Veng town, there are alot of Vietnamese people, especially along the waterfront. Every time you turn you'll see them.
