A Parliamentary committee in Cambodia has requested Prime Minister Hun Sen to attend parliament to answer questions directly.

Mr. Son Chhay a member of the parliament from the opposition party and who is also the chair of the 5th Committee of the parliament has submitted the written request to the Prime Minister.

The letter calls for answers on issues including the implementation of the four-angle economic policies, revenue collection from Angkor Wat, land disputes, corruption and human rights.

Hun Sen hasn't been to Parliament during question time during the third term of government which is due to expire soon.

The constitution and parliamentary internal regulations, stipulate that the Prime Minister is supposed to attend question time every Thursday morning.

A senior advisor to the PM comments says the request is ridiculous and queries the motives behind it.

Ah Kvak is not going to come. He sees MP Son Chhay as trash or as one that is a child. This Communist Puppet Party leader is not going to respect the law. He is above the law al the time. Good trial Mr. Chhay. You are a brave MP I have not heard of in Cambodian politics

THE PROBLEM WITH THIS IDIOT SAMDACH IS THAT EVERY TIME WHEN HE STEPS OUT OF HIS HEAVY-GUARDED HOME, HE HAS TO SQUANDER OR WASTE TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO HAVE HIS ASSED GUARDED DUE TO HIS FEAR OF GETTING ASSASSINATED.

Great Job MP Son Chhay,

I admire your leadership style and democratic manner. Cambodia will experience progress as you have always striving for is "rule of law".

Hun Sen and his advisers are the jerks and speaking something irresponsibility.

i strongly encourage town-hall meeting, asking the leaders questions, being a responsible citizen, and so on by either asking your representative to bring up the issues or concern to the people in charge. this is a good initiative, a step closer to solving problems and concerns the people may have. it is everybody's responsibility to bring it up and question and more questions until one gets the answer they want. this is call accountability and transparancy in gov't. remember, during the dark years of the khmer rouge time, the khmer rouge regimen use to tell all the people to have the eyes like the pineapple. i think we can borrow this message to apply to the current gov't; it is the responsible for all the khmer people to correct their gov't if they know it's not right. you know, everybody can do better. just do it. get support from people who can trust and get help and get to work.

naturally, the people that suffer is the one to complain the loudest. so take action. be self-educated as well. remember, action speaks louder than words. for example, in the phillipines, the have the people-power that brought a big change in their way of gov't. it is the people that can bring changes not the gov't. so demand the gov't to speak up. remind the gov't that the reason they are there is because the people elected them to serve the nation and its interest, not special interest. please think about it. can't emphasize enough, think, think, think, think!!!! for a million times.
