Ban on firecrackers and fireworks during Chinese New Year

The city of Phnom Penh issued a communiqué to the public to inform them that, in order to preserve the security, safety and public order during the Chinese New Year which will take place between 06 and 11 February, the city hall bans the use of firecrackers, fireworks, the making of all kinds of explosion noises in order to welcome the New Year guardian angel. Kep Chuktema, the city governor, issued a severe order to the police and the local authorities to expressly stop all pestering explosion noises during the Chinese/Vietnamese New Year celebration in Phnom Penh. Those who violate this order and who commit crimes causing unrest, public disorder and social insecurity will be sentenced according to the law.

Stop that nonsense! VN dogs are justing being afraid that some groups might used this chance to create some unrest. A couple of real firecrackers in those known official houses will get them running scared.

People let take this chance to do a "TET's Offensive" similar to the Viet Nam war. Remembered?
