Heng Pov, the jailed former Phnom Penh police commissioner, asked the court to broadcast on TV the court hearing for his sentencing in subsequent court cases against him. The Cambodia Daily reported that Heng Pov sent out two letters on Tuesday: one to the Phnom Penh municipal court, and one to the Appeal Court. In the letters, Heng Pov said that, for future sentencing of his case, the court hearing should be televised for the public to decide whether he is guilty or not. However, Heng Pov’s request was rejected by both the presidents of the Phnom Penh municipal court and the Appeal Court. Chiv Keng, president of the Phnom Penh municipal court, and You Bunleng, the director of the Appeal court, said that there is no need to broadcast this even live on TV because the public can sit inside the courtroom during the hearing. Heng Pov was sentenced to 40-year in jail for crimes he committed, and he will be facing with 4 other charges brought up by the Phnom Penh municipal court and the Appeal court.

Well, we reserved TVK of only hard working people, not criminal.
But if Heng Pov can get a slot elsewhere, I don't have any objection to it.
Ah chicken CPP dog brain!!!
I prefer listen to Heng Peuv case than the baking of Dog Kwack!
TV stations are controlled by HunSen. The family of Thieves. It's very easy to manipulate the public.
There will be no justice in Cambodia.
That's right, Heng Pov and others. When you play with fire, you're bound to get burned one of these days. That's a fact.
Even Mr. Hun Sen himself is feeling the heat from his boss in Hanoi from time to time. Do you think he ever closes his eyes?
Chan,
as much as i do not like corrupted official, i think it is a good idea to use the media such as tv to broadcast a virdict or trial and let the khmer people decide and understand the whole story as well. it is a very effective way. media are powerful stuff in the western world, so it is good that cambodia is beginning to use media as well.
11:39, we all know you preferred to listen to convicts and criminals.
Chan. You exaggerated. Hun Sen's Boss is Chinese now not Viet-hanoi.
If the CPP clowns have nothing to hide and please show the verdict on TV!
Cambodian people are smart enough to know who the real criminals are!
Well, the CPP is not blocking anything. There a lot of TV stations available.
