Invited to preside over the closing of the yearly meeting of the ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, which was held on 25 March at the Chaktokmouk Conference center, in Phnom Penh, Hun Sen sharply criticized the National Authority for Land Dispute Resolution (NARLD). According to Hun Sen, the NARLD led by Sok An, the minister in charge of the Council of Ministers, is not only inactive, but it seems also to be taking advantage of the land disputes as well.
“There are signs which makes people think that this organization does not want to resolve the land disputes and that it is attempting to lengthen them up so that they can pull money from both sides (of the dispute),” Hun Sen said.
The NARLD was set up two years ago to resolve land disputes which are piling up in the kingdom. It consists of members from 3 major political parties seating at the National Assembly: the CPP, the Funcinpec, and the SRP.
To Hun Sen, land disputes remain omnipresent. “I am wondering if I should cancel it or keep it,” Hun Sen warned while asking NARLD officials to seriously resolve the problems. “You should not lengthen the disputes, and take personal advantage of them,” he said.
“If I were to catch someone in the act, this person would be immediately dealt with,” Hun Sen warned while adding that among the NARLD workers, some are making mistakes and are not conscientious.
The day before, Eang Chhai Eang, SRP Secretary-general and NARLD Vice-President, resigned from the NARLD. In his resignation letter sent to Sok An, Eng Chhai Eang explained that land disputes are caused by government officials, and that these disputes are beyond the competence of the NARLD: “This institution did not accomplish well its duty, and it has no competency, nor the will to resolve these problems. This is why I am resigning from my position as NARLD vice-president, effective now.”

Good move even if it is a bit late. Eng Chhai Eang resigned from NARLD because it is not working.

Why AH HUN SEN is questioning about National Authority for Land Dispute Resolution (NARLD)? AH HUN SEN himself had been sitting on his hand for years on the land grabbing issue and he didn’t even shit!

first of all i would like to appologize to ki-media for using the site to let people know Khmer Sovannaphumi- known as Pang Sokheoun, n his mistress Sokunthear Som have been reported to FBI agent n FB's adminstration for stealing n posting someone pic in their wall without the owner consent to defame them..further more they both wrongly accused that same person of created his Pang Sokheoun id, they both have been cursed, n will be brought to justice..i have been in contact with Cambodian Goverment to make sure both of them will not be able to enter cambodia without arrest for their cyber crime....i hope to see their dirty bastard asses soon in court..
