Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej said Sunday that he has talked to the Cambodian government over proposal to jointly develop tourism industry of the two countries.
He said Thailand would develop roads to link the two kingdoms so that tourists could travel by buses from Thailand to Cambodia.
He said the joint development could allow foreign tourist who visit Pattaya to continue to visit Cambodia with convenience.

I guess who'd benefit more from these meetings? Does it always seem that every time they meet up with the Siem Prime minister, it goes the Siem's way? These "Khmer leaders" are weak! Joint Tourist Development will makes Thailand a hub destination and a side trip destination. Side trip means only a few day stay vs the hub destination a few weeks stay. Thailand propose this Joint Tourist Development is because they have saturated their capacity to draw anymore tourists to their country so they piggy back on Cambodia to draw tourists to their country. We must think about own interest and don't forget to read all the fine print before making any deals with them.
