There are only a few places in the world where man-made wonders, which required unbelievable efforts by the civilizations that created them, are so accessible. You can walk in, around and through so much of the ruins such as this.

This massive tree, with its roots spilling over the ancient temple buildings, seems almost surreal. If you let your mind imagine what it was like nearly eight centuries ago, the beauty is even more amazing.

800 years ago these "new" Khmer built temples may look celestial, something heavenly adorned by angels, the guardians of the forest.

Which one supports which one?

The tree and the wall are like a couple. They depend on each other, if one is falling, the other one is going to lost its balance.

I don't think it is a good idea to let the tree continue to grow on our valuable temple like that.

If our ancestors see this, I am sure they will kick the shit out of all of us.

Cambodia is the only place that you can tree's root this big crawling up over the stone. Amazing isn't it?

Possible because I never seen tree invaded temple anywhere else, but what is so fascinating about it? It just make us looks like we are a bunch of ignorant people not caring for our valuable temple.

If one of the couple dies, what will happen to the other? As you know everything has it end. The tree cannot last for ever. That 's my concern. Is it an impass or so we must keep them like this, waiting the the day they will collapse?

From an ignorant about the Prasat.
