The Koh Santepheap quoted an official from the Phnom Penh municipal court as saying that, on 22 April, the verdict for Heng Pov, the former Phnom Penh city police commissioner, and his group will be announced. The court did not issue a verdict during Heng Pov’s court hearing held on 28 March. The verdict will be handed down in the accusation made against Heng Pov for his participation in the murder attempt on Kim Daravuth, the director of the EdC office branch in Chak Angre Krom. The shooting committed during the murder attempt left Kim Daravuth paralyzed. Kim Daravuth accused Heng Pov and his gang of planning the murder and he asked the court to deliver the maximum sentence on Heng Pov and his gang. It is not known how many additional years of prison term Heng Pov will receive from tomorrow’s verdict.

When Mr. Heng Pov was Phnom Penh Police commissioner, he was instrumental in Hun Sen's "iron fist" policy against judicial corruption and his order to arrest some judges and prosecutors for corruption.
Can the prosecutor(s)and the judge(s)who are respectively prosecuting him, investigating his case(s) and trying him maintain their independence and impartiality then? A big question mark!

We know judges and prosecutors are not independent. I am not surprised if there are more cases against him. He is already prepared for a life sentence. He deserves it after all.
Mr.1:45PM,
Mr. Heng Pov also deserves, actually has the right to, a fair trial.

Well, do you see anything unfair about Heng Pov's trial, Dr. Lao?

No! That would be a conflict of interest.
It has to be a different judge and prosecutors.
Either way, it doesn't matter. Hun Sen is the judge, jury and the prosecutors.
Dr. Lao is a spammer. All he does is hit and run. He rarely answered any legitimate question on his comment.
