“If I could love you”
1. Four decades ago, I composed for one of my beloved Uncles, this piece of music.
It was this Uncle who gave to this piece of music the strange title of “If I could love you.”
Personally, I believe that each person, man and woman, in this world, is free to love. On the other hand, [in order] to possess a lady or a damsel whom one loves, is another “affair” [altogether].
However, the Uncle in question, without having the courage to say “I love [you]”, only allowed himself to dream about an impossible love because the damsel he loved was already engaged and would, in accordance to a firm decision by her parents, marry her “official” fiancé without waiting too long.
2. The movie “If I could love you” is the achievement of my eldest daughter, H.R.H. Samdech Norodom Buppha Devi.
I gave her the freedom to come up with the unfolding of this love story.
