Can King Xihanouk stop doing more harm to Cambodian people. The first time he did harm to Cambodian people he shifted the total blame on the ancestral prophecy (he mean Put Tum Neay, which tere is no such a thing. Here is what he wrote in the preface of his book, WAR AND HOPE: "One day the Cambodian people will be forced to choose between beibg eaten by tigers or swallowed by crocodiles. Now we see that the prophecy fullfil its meaning. . ."
He meant that what had happened to Cambodian people was not his reckless action; it was the prophecy that did harm to the Cambodian people. Do you believe that?

i think it is safe for a former gov't official or stateman or private citizens, etc.. to give their opinions/advice to better cambodia in any way possible. these individuals i think is retired and their opinions or expertise is important and can help cambodia to better itself. i see nothing wrong with that. they are retired and they are private citizens. other countries on the planet have this kind of retired individual or former statesman or what have you out there, and they help their country to see things clearly and better in many ways possible. i think it is ok to do so as long as they don't compromise the politics or take side or be so one-sided, but if they are experienced and well-informed etc., it ought to be ok. thank you.

well, back then, not only cambodia trusted and love their beloved former king, they (the majority of cambodian people) then were also so ignorant by frogs confined in a well. like they say in the west, please learn to think, analyze the situation and talk for yourself, and definitely be self-educated and get proactive in your rights and don't be so gullible. part of it was dued to ignorant. i hope cambodia learnt from this bad, bad mistake not to be so gullible and learn to think and analyze before jumping to a conclusion. when we do self-examination like socrates (in the studies of philosophy had taught people in college)taught humanity, then we can see right from wrong and be informed and educated. please see the past mistakes and take corrective action to prevent those kind of costly mistakes from ever happening again in the history of cambodia. thank you and god bless cambodia.
also, cambodia can't keep on depending one a one man leadership anymore, every khmer citizen is capable of learn, either by self-taught or from college or from other countries from around the world or what have you. everyone has to be well-informed and get education. it is very very important to deviate from this kind of tradition. it is called learning and improving one-self, so can't continue the tradition of dependence any longer if we were to compete and be productive in this fast moving world that we are now living in. for the world is bigger than our oyster. please learn to think outside of the box. there is nothing wrong with learning from others, even our enemies. learning new thing and adopt new concepts, ideas, etc. knows no boundary. indeed, the entire world learnt from one another all the times. the difference is we just have to credit the origin of those ideas or concepts. but remember, it is totally alright to learn from others both inside and outside of cambodia. please learn to be proactive, i know this is a new concept for most cambodian people. meaining, please do encourage others and get involved in your community and society. take initiative as well stop thinking that everything is magic. this is not how the real world is operating, definitely not by magic. please learn to adopt new ideas and make it better for cambodia. don't be so selfish, help other less fortunate than you if you have to because others will start doing the same. thank you.
