The Mekong Times reported that the Funcinpec party nominated Nan Sy, the former Funcinpec MP, to be its new spokesman replacing Nov Sovathero who defected to the CPP. Nan Sy said that in his position the party spokesman is very important. He will use his position to serve the Funcinpec party political view in order to reach victory during the upcoming 27 July election, following major and in-depth reforms undertaken by the party. Nan Sy said was a Funcinpec MP during the 2nd legislative mandate, and he is currently the Cambodian ambassador to Brunei.
