Hahah, this is like the best cartoon ever. I don't know the meaning though. What kind of cake is "nom benh" anyway? I know that there is sarcasm imbeded in the cartoon, but I don't figure it out yet. Can anyone help? Thanks.
It's not me who drew the cartoon, but I can tell you that the words "nom benh" is the accent of the Yuons pronouncing the words "Phnom Penh," the capital of our motherland.
nom benh is a metaphor for Phnom Penh, which is a city that is being eaten up by monkey-see monkey-do people who take their orders not from the people and country they're suppose to protect but from the foreign political entity represented in the color and flag.
Its not that hard Mr. Sacrava's cartoon are entertaining but you shouldn't look too hard into it.
IT would sound better if Bong Prohok Khmer should just start with:

It's ridiculous enough to know that on the land of the free, in the city of Long Beach where most Cambodians claim to have escaped Communism, but living in this community of ours are some obsequious clowns, like Chhang Song, Phay Siphan, Richer San, Sithea San, Peter Long, etc. praising and advocating Hun Xen, the grateful dog of Vietnam. Are you all exercising your freedom on the land of the free in support of a dictatorial regime of Hun Xen?
