Same Info, Same Feel ... Only the look is different

Dear KI-Media Readers,

We have updated our look somewhat. We would really appreciate it if you would let us know if this new look creates any problem with your browser. So far, we are only able to test it with Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla Firefox 2 only. Please leave us a comment.

Thank you,

KI-Media Team

ADDENDUM

All our team members would like to thank all of you for your input and for your confirmation that it works on your browser. One of the main reason for changing to this new format also is that the old format was too hard to maintain. Some of our readers ask that we use larger fonts, in fact, the browser can increase or decrease text size directly (for example in Internet Explorer, click the View menu, then click on Text Size). We have changed the post title to the same size as the old format also. Please note that the banner is not fixed, it will be changed in due time.

Finally, regarding the mysterious man on the right hand side of the banner, we found this picture used in the profile of Politiktoons by Artist Sacrava. We took the liberty to assume that it is his picture peering through his camera, although we never met him and we don't know for sure. Hopefully Mr. Sacrava will confirm this for us.

With our sincere thanks,

KI-Media Team

Look good, work well with my pc. The banner is typical...farmer/labor lady's hat is the umbrella to protect our peoples such as monk, politician and commuters from burning by the sunshine.

Big cute face of a kid is the symbol our brighter younger generation, but I don't know who is that bald-head man. He doesn't look like Cambodian.

Others may have some more idea.

Thanks for the creativity.

My computer does not pick up your masterhead. Maybe it is for the best.

I prefer the old old simpler presentation.

My beloved Khmers!

Your significant works of doubting and questioning Khmer's mentality and Khmeritude are exclusively incomparable to any Khmer's site.
Thank you, my beloved friends!
PS. I learn a lot of English here.

I love the new look but still miss the old, simply look with a cozy atmosphere.

I guess I have to get used to the new look. I believe in change of ways of doing things such as in a country, work (promotion), or vacations, to get advanced and competitive but i don't believe in change of family, wives, husbands, having affairs, or home.

Thanx

Well, let the pinhead 0000 @6:48 PM bite the dust! Yeah, it is for the best...lol, j/k.

It looks great, but I don't like the font too much. The font is big and fat which make the paragraph look crowed and busy.
Thanks

Thank you KI Media for giving us a chance to express our opinions through your website!

it look great, but i think you need to place more of the daily life in this logo than the politician, because when i look at this my first impression is "POLITIC" than anything else in your site, beside be may the color should be lighter.... the rest is great to be creative and think out of the box.

well done

thanks

Now it's not boring like before. It is looking active and lively. Please add more photos if you can. It helps the readers to enjoy and understand more about the stories as Yahoo does.

I love your website and read everyday at least 3 times a day; except, I'm very busy.

Good job Ki-Media.

KI-Media team,

Thanks for having done a great job. The new image looks very nice; however, I just want to share some ideas regarding this new look.

First of all, let me ask you this: "is this image a logo or a banner/label for KI-Media?" A logo is something physically permanent that remains unchanged and represents the KI-Media at all times and everywhere it can be seen and read. Whereas a banner/label is just a story or news cover and is periodically modified and developed as different kinds of stories and contexts may warrant different images, headlines and titles. Thus, if this is a KI-Media logo, it shall be not be modified or altered over time—the theme, the color, the font, the style, the image, and the message--physically.

Then, if it is your logo, it is your choice and it is up to you as to what you want your media to be perceived and interpreted from the eyes of the readers. But, most importantly, you have to take a stance that defines your mission and core values. I would assume that we have a shared value here and our shared value is to constructively criticize the gov’t, any institution, anybody and anything that runs counter to the fair and equitable justice and development of the country and people of Cambodia. So, you need to be clear and straightforward in what you do and stand for. And as one of your big readers, I suggest that you may try to incorporate four elements of sustainability—society, politics, economics, and environment—into the logo as these are the four factors that affect one anther and of course must go hand in hand in order to achieve a sustainably developed Cambodia.

And finally, your image seems to look like a good representation of Cambodia, though I don’t see, therefore suggest, any image or sign that illustrate the contribution of “students—both home and abroad”— in the logo.

It is just my sincere comments, and nothing else is intended. And if these are not of any use, just simply throw them away (with smile).

faster is a plus. updates look ok, better, but i wish it is more simple as i hate to have to look for something when too much info is available. i think blogs and forum format should keep as simple as possible, not too much details is a plus. thanks for the great work. there's always room for improvement as things needs updated due to changes. god bless.

TO ALL AMERICANS, FRENCH, AND CAMBODIA ALIKE:

WE NEED TO BOYCOTT CHINESE PRODUCTS AND BEIJING OLYMPIC BY NOT BUYING CHINESE GOODS AND NOT WATCHING OLYMPIC THIS TIME BECAUSE CHINA TOOK TIBET ILLIGALLY AS THEIR OWN. THE SAME AS HANOI TOOK KHMER KAMPUCHEA KROM AND TWO ISLANDS. THESE TWO EVILS ARE BAD AND WE MUST FIGHT FOR OUR BROTHERS' FREEDOM.

SO LET'S JOIN TOGETHER TO COUNTER THE CHINESE WHO BOYCOTT THE FRENCH SUPERMARKET IN CHINA.

FIGHT FOR FREEDOM AND FIGHT FOR DEMOCRACY IN TIBET, CAMBODIA, AND KHMER KAMPUCHEA KROM.

I think KI medi should create another similar site which focuses on Khmer writing to counterbalance English or French like the newspapers The Cambodia Daily, and Combodge Soir.

This then would enliven our language which diverges out to portray our culture, tradition, and religion more closely.

Imagine instant news just like KI media in Khmer!
