Thailand will meet Cambodia in Paris at the invitation of the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) to tackle the dispute over registration of the Preah Vihear temple as a World Heritage Site. Foreign Minister Noppadon Pattama will take a delegation to the meeting in Paris on May 2-3, said a Foreign Ministry official.

Unesco wants the two sides to talk about Cambodia's proposal to register Preah Vihear temple _ ancient ruins on the border between the two countries. Unesco is about to consider the request.

''Thailand is ready to negotiate with the Cambodian side about the process,'' the official said.

Bangkok says it is not opposed to the registration of the temple by the Phnom Penh government, but it must not affect the disputed borderline.

The Foreign Ministry this month registered a protest after Cambodia sent its troops to the disputed area around Preah Vihear.

Thailand said it violated the 2000 memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two countries over Preah Vihear.

Under the MoU, both countries agreed not to do anything to change the area.

Thailand has nothing to do with preahVihear. It's the sole property of Cambodia, not Thailand. Why the hell it's bothering Thailand so much.
Perhaps it needs to steal more Cambodia's property to add to the land that Thailand stole before. It's enough that Thailand have treated Khmer people in an insulting manner. It's very unfortunate that we Khmer have had some thoughtless and reckless leaders who have cared more about their personal interest than that of the nation.

The Thaicong are preaching do good mother fucker and this is their diplomatic gesture toward the Khmer! It is very insulting and looking down mother fucker!

I say seal the fucken border and stop the listing of Khmer Preah Vihear with UNESCO! Why not promote Preah Vihear temple with Angkor Wat as tourist destination with the five stars hotel on top of the mountain with a beautiful view!

Just pave the roads to the heart of Preah Vihear and send endless supplies to the needy Cambodian people who live in the area and there is nothing the Thaicong can do to stop Khmer people from protecting her sovereignty!

Hindu temple my ass. This preah vihear temple was built by khmner king jayawarman VII, not by any indian from India. Hun sen should not negociate with thailand.

The world court in 1962 ruled again that the map of 1907 treaty is correct. That map shows that the temple and THE SURROUNDING areras are in khmer territory. No need to negotiate away our land. Boycott thai businesses.

To 2:02PM

The Thaicong claimed that Khmer Phrea Vihear temple is in the middle or surrounded by the no man land or the buffer zone claimed by the Thaicong and the Thaicong also acknowledged that Phrea Vihear temple belong to Cambodia! How is that possible?

Now base on the Thaicong logic, the Cambodian can claim the Phrea Vihear temple but there is no way Cambodian will have access to the temple because the fucken land surround the temple is considered disputed area!

Khmer Phrea Vihear temple is located within the boundary of Cambodia according to the map of 1904-1907! The Thaicong can go to hell for their blind ambition!

Fuck all the Thaicong theory and logic!

Why map of 1904-1907, 11:00? Why not other maps, like 1401, 1543, 1932, 1965, 1991,... . What is wrong with those maps?

The last treaty between Siam and France was signed in 1907. This treaty is the base that The Hague world court used to decide in 1962 the onwnership of Preah Vihear and the present Thai-Khmer border. No other teaties were signed after 1907 with thailand. Yes we could go back to 1401 if it exists. At that time the whole thailand was part of Khmer empire.

Yeah, but you are talking ancient history when we were under French Protectorate. But now we are under Vietnam Protectorate. Therefore, we have to make new map all over again.
