PHNOM PENH: A Cambodian court sentenced a 64-year-old Austrian man to ten years in jail on Tuesday for sexually abusing boys aged 13 and 14, the trial judge and lawyer said.
Olaf Achleitner of Salzburg, who was arrested in September, denied the allegations and accused police of framing him.
"They were in my house but I did nothing wrong," he told Reuters outside the courtroom as he was led away in handcuffs.
"This is a death sentence for me as an old man."
Achleitner, who worked as a cook at a western restaurant in Phnom Penh, was also ordered to pay $1,000 (512 pounds) in compensation to the two victims.
Cambodia, a deeply impoverished southeast Asian nation, has long-been regarded as a haven for western paedophiles and perverts, although it has stepped up prosecution of foreigners in recent years.

what i don't understand is why people still do it, even after the previous ones got in trouble already? they still commit such crime, why? they have no brain or what? can't they think? if they can't do it in their own country, what make them think that they can just do it in cambodia? why? what part of speech don't people like these don't understand? one has to wonder!!! what is wrong with these type of people, abusing the helpless children of cambodia. well, i'm glad others see to it that these kind of criminal get put away for good or something. god bless cambodia.
Pedidhilia is not a fashion it is a compulsion. One does not use their brain to commit this crime. It is happening in all parts of the world not just Cambodia. However Cambodia is poor enough that the guardians of these children look the other way while their children live on the street , do drugs, get abused and starve to death! This "old Man" is my father , he fed these children and provided them with shelter from a harsh street life. He was set up by the "police" to look like a molestor. He is Gay not a pedophile.

Thankyou , i am aware of this case in PP it does stink of interference on behalf of some shady policing. sometimes one cannot help children without lokking like a creep. It has happened to me and i am a mother!
