Cambodia says it will install more markers along the Thai border in a bid to more clearly demarcate the state line.
Var Kim Hong, chief of the National Border Committee, says more markers are needed as those installed by France are inadequate.
He says it's not clear when the work will begin or how many markers would be needed.
Cambodia has an 805 kilometre land border with Thailand, but only 73 markers, planted by the French in the early 20th century, demarcate the border.
Cambodia and Thailand created a bilateral committee to demarcate the border in 2006 following disputes along their border in Oddar Meanchey and Preah Vihear provinces.
Throughout its history Cambodia has been plagued by border disputes with neighboring countries.
Negotiations with Vietnam, Thailand and Laos over border demarcations are ongoing.

I am kind of litle suspecious on Mr. Hor Nam Hong mentiopned a bout the Markers during French Collonization era is inadequate, what he mean by that? inadeqate of what?..numbers of markers or French used the measurment inadequated?.. Is he trying to make more concession our land to AH villain Siamese?..Is he still needs french to joint in ?. I'm trusting, and expecting on Hun Sen GV to show up their uttmost power, especially with Siamese from blood villainous character. it's good idea to mark our border line properly so thieves like the siam can't keep stealing it in the daylight. get smart up, m fellow khmers. god bless.
That's just to show the whole world how the neighboring thieves are when us Khmer have to demarcate our border every decades. Anyone ever heard of Thailand and Vietnam demarcate their borders? I didn't think so!
Vietnam just did that last year and not a sound was heard from CPP. Remember the 2nd supplemental treaty with Vietnam? and Koh Tral? it's belong to the Vietnamese now. But if you dare bring up the subject.......
So, it's not a surprise if the Thais want do the same. Preah Vihear is just started.
Yeah, but that is not nearly as bad as Ah Spam Rainxy lost France to the French, not to mention losing the entire Europe to the European as well.
