In the course of the debate, Senator Keo Bunthouk highlighted the political complexity of the situation by questioning whether or not Foreign Minister Hor Nam Hong, a close ally of Prime Minister Hun Sen, should be subject to an investigation by the tribunal, asserting that Hong had sent victims to their deaths at the infamous S-21 extermination center. See Kay Kimsong, “Senate Continues Spirited Debate on KR Bill,” The Cambodia Daily, January 12, 2001. Another senior senator directly challenged Prime Minister Hun Sen’s frequent comments to the effect that Ieng Sary should be held harmless by the tribunal. The chairman of the Senate Legislative Committee, Ouk Bun Thhoeun, argued that it was not for Hun Sen to decide who would and who would not be prosecuted. “In fact no one can prohibit the activities of the court. His (Hun Sen’s) comment is his own opinion, but according to the law it’s up to the court prosecutors to determine who will be prosecuted.” “Cambodia Khmer Rouge Tribunal Should Start In ’01 - Hun Sen,” Associated Press, January 11, 2001.

For the sake of good governance and protection of social justice, we should ask Hor Nam Hong to stand down and send him a full investigation with Khmer Trial. We should also remember about Heng Pov who was also a high ranking officials in the police force and was sent to jail without propre investigation and propre court standard. Compare his crime to the crime of Nuon Chea and Ieng Sary, Ieng thirith and Khiev Samphann, his crime was nothing. Why there are double standard for a small crime to a bigger crime? Why smaller crime be prosecuted and be treated worst than crime against humanity? At the same time, Why Born Samnang and his friend have to be jailed for a crime they haven't committed? As a protector of social justice, we must find it out.Areak Prey

Areak prey;
It's good to meet you here again.

For the sake of good governance and protection of social justice, we should ask Hor Nam Hong to stand down and send him a full investigation with Khmer Trial.

Don't think we [as citizen] can ask the particular person to stand down at all except the political party that he belongs can decide whether the person shall be stand down or remain in the position.

By the way, KR trial will not do anything at this very moment. Every body aware that in ECCC, there is victim unit where people can file complaint about anyone who they think they are inflicted sufferings upon them under the regime, and until then, there will be no investigation and therefore can't be trial under the ECCC either.

Well.. Who is the main prosecutor ? Bun Leng.
He's one of the close advisor and friend of Hun Sen. Bun Leng involve in illegal log and timber dealing too.
The Tribunal is in the hand of Hun Sen. Your democratic's dream will not come true. Unless you want to go to fight against Hun Sen's system or viet system. Well Cambodians are too chicken.

Who dare to confront Hun Sen in Khmer Rouge's case? Keo Bunthouk and Ouk Bun Thhoeun... So where are They now? Hun Sen do everything that these peoples are not in the government. In Funcinpec, we have feet's licker of Hun Sen (like Nhiek Bunchhay..!the drug producer!, Ly Tuch, etc) and the real patriotists.

Does cambodians remember, that at the 93, if CPP win the elections, cambodians are already in the hand of viets?
At last, FUNCINPEC WIN THE ELECTION. Thank god...
So god help cambodians, so it's cambodians turn to help themselves from K-5 (kor 5) and others bad stuffs installed by the Youn (Hun Sen) regime.

When I was young, I have beg some money. It doesn't make me a bad person. It's the way you make money and use it.
Most of the CPP high members are Khmer Rouge.
So could They clarify that?
Because, in 1979, Viets say that these peoples defected from Khmer Rouge.
Tell us, what is your role in Khmer Rouge. We don't ask that much.
If They are not Khmer Rouge, I came to the conclusion that They are vietnameses, the 7 makara peoples.

the approach ought to be 'is it going to help or is it going to benefit cambodia after what have happened in cambodia under the KR? it ought not be base on someones' dislike or like of someone and thus they can do whatever they feel like doing without consulting with others about it. cambodia have law and order, so everyone must respect and obey law, not the other way around. i hope the court will emphasize this.
