On Thursday 15 May, during the inauguration of a mosque in the suburb of Phnom Penh, Prime minister Hun Sen asked the ministry of Education and the authorities at all levels to allow Cham female students to wear their veils (chador) in class.

“In some universities, people are not condemned for wearing jeans, so why would the wearing of the veil be banned?” Hun Sen commented.

In his speech, Hun Sen also called for installing a prayer room for all Muslims in all airports in Cambodia. Currently, only Phnom Penh airport has such a prayer room. Hun Sen justified this measure by the fact that Islam religious practice is more rigorous than that of Buddhism.

Once Hun SenVarman had mentally conflicted between faith and doubt during Pol Pot regime, he was lend himself to not only the rejection of Buddha, but also the rejection of conventional notions of morality, and his unbeating heart was unconscientiously cold toward mankind of million innocent Khmers. Now, he is physically pretended to be bornt again Buddhism to an active love of mankind, forgiveness, kindness, and a devotion to every one in order to win this coming election!

It is not his job to talk about religion. It must be separated.
