khmers in mekong delta area is called khmer krom, khmers in cambodia is called khmer kandal, and khmers in thailand, laos and beyond ( in southeast asia region only) is called khmer leu. so khmer krom, khmer kandal and khmer leu, respectivel are all khmers people who lived in these areas for thousands of years and more. god bless all khmer people.

3:03 Am, you are correct Okhna Son Kuy is a hero of the Khmer-Krom people, the title of Okhna means he have high rank, specifically this guy was a governor of of Preah Trapeang.
He is not father of Son San. He lead several uprising and defensive attack against the invading Youn who are attempt to have full control of Khmer Krom people and forced changed their customs. Okhna Kuy died sometime in 1820s excuted by the invading Vietnamese, time of Vietnam Emperor Thieu Trieu ( You can say 2-3? or Thui Thui? Stink Stink!) after he gave up fighting with them in return that they respect Khmer people's rights and culture.
As we see today, they are liars as always. No Vietnam government and invader has ever been trustworthy. That is why Cambodia today should remember this if they want their country to survive.
