3- I am profoundly sad to think that following my resignation (which was unwanted by Pol Pot’s Angkar), the latter [Angkar] was capable of inflicting such inhumane sufferings on the gentle Phlous, on the gentle Phurissara, on the gentle Methavi and Nanette, etc… H.E. Chea San, H.E. Huot Sambath, H.E. Isoup Ganthy and other loyal supporters were martyred by the K. Rouge by ultra atrocious manner.

Even the KR Officials themselves were also executed. Did you ever feel resonsible for what you brought to your own children and countrymen. Those officers did not fight for Lon Nol, They fought to protect their country from the communists.

Here is a piece of King Sihanouk's writing about his misery in his book WAR AND HOPE, page 83:"One day a pregnant emaciated bitch wandered through the palace gate. Lon Nol army was indeed Sihanouk army (about 30,000 ill-equipped inexperience men at the time). He wanted it that way just to protect his power not Cambodia. A more powerful army was a threat to him. Had he ordered Lon Nol to attack the VC installations inside Cambodia they would do so. And the Americans would provide full military support.
But he chose to play a dangerous game that resulted in a nation deadly cost: a bloody war began. He was overthown by Lon Nol with the support from America because of his conspiracy with the VC and North VN which were allowed to use Cambodian territory to attack the American forces. He admitted he was unable to control the VC.
I guarantee that Cambodian monarchy will end sooner than expected. Hun Sen/CPP only support the monarchy for political gain. It will be quickly over as soon as it becomes useless (like Ranarith). This corrupt and disrectpectful, failed Cambodian monarchy will not survive in a rich, educated and democratic society. That's why Sihanouk rejects America and embraces poor, uneducated people.
