BANGKOK, June 28 (Bernama) -- The anti-government activist People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) on Saturday demanded that Thai Foreign Minister Noppadon Pattama quit his post, only hours after Thailand's Administrative Court issued an injunction calling for a temporary halt in carrying out any further activities related to the cabinet's endorsement of the Cambodian map of Preah Vihear temple.
Quoting Pipop Thongchai, a core leader of the PAD, whose members and supporters have been demonstrating at Government House demanding the ouster of the government of Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej, Thailand News Agency (TNA) said that PAD would like to thank the Administrative Court for imposing the injunction.
"This is a victory of the people," Pipop said, adding that the PAD had no plan to use violent means to pressure the government to resign, but it may set up more demonstrations in the provinces.
The Administrative Court early Saturday voted nine to three to temporarily suspend any Thai government support for the latest Cambodian map, endorsed by the Thai cabinet on June 17, reasoning that the demarcation line between the two neighbouring countries, including around Preah Vihear itself, was not yet complete, even though the map also indicated areas surrounding the ancient temple.
PAD earlier urged the court to nullify the Thai cabinet resolution of June 17 supporting and endorsing Cambodia's map of the ancient temple out of concern that the endorsement would be used by Cambodia to contest Thailand's sovereignty over a still-undelineated 4. 6 square kilometre area around the temple.
Pipop said the foreign minister should show the national spirit and responsibility by resigning from his post after the Court decision in order to "raise politicians' ethical standard as well as to build a positive political culture.
"The decision on Preah Vihear temple could not be done by the foreign minister alone, therefore, the entire cabinet must take responsibility as well, said Pipop.

Noppadon Pattama, you are weak if you resign from you post. It is not your fault and what you did were for the Thai interests.
You are not strong as Thaksin
Please read the Cambodia newspaper "Khmer Mchas Srok News" online which provides the express national and international News to Khmers :

The Thai PAD, you are living in a dream world of taking back Preah Vihear, or you just want turn Preah Vihear into your own political davantage and your end game. The International Court decision of 1962 on Preah Vihear is irreversible. Noppadon Pattima, you must be strong and explain this court verdict to the Thai people, that the PAD is playing a dirty trick .
The international (or rather kangaroo) court is no longer relevant because of the illegal occupation of the French in the region.
thailand's internal affairs is your siem people's problem not the international court or cambodia's problem. don't confuse your siem people any further than you have. sorry, cambodia and the international court can't help with your internal problem like this.
Who care about international shit? The Khmer in Thailand wants their temple and land back, period.
In Thailand, whatever King Phumibol wants the ultranationalists or fanatics in Thailand will rise against the government. Yet better know that this is the only one King in the world reigns and rules over the Militatry behind. He was behind the coup to oust Thaksin.
Phumibol, a dictator King who killed the previous King, his old brother in cold blood. He is God King and better hang his pictures at everywhere.
The King has never smiled and he has attempted to take Preah Vihear with all costs because he believes he has Khmer blood and he is entitled to it.
Khmer government has to be very careful.
Can anyone imagine India and Pakistan are still killing each others and they both were one nation? So here we have Thailand and Cambodia shared the same culture from one same empire, and Thailand is still tearing Cambodia apart.
I am Khmer in Thailand today, I know Prasat Preah Vihear is not belong Siam nor Thai. It's belong to all Khmer like me (not Siam, Thai).
Khmer My ancester is good!
Of course the temple belongs to you because you are Khmer, but even if you decided to marry with the Thai, Siam, or Lao and move to Laos, it still wouldn't make any difference. Get the picture?
