Therefore, if efforts are equally made in the 7 city districts during the 4th legislative mandate election, then (the CPP) would be able to grab even more than the 6 seats (it plans to obtain). Phnom Penh city now has 12 seats at the National Assembly, and, during the current legislative mandate, the CPP obtained only 4. At the national level, the total number of seats at the National Assembly is 123, 73 of which are in the CPP’s hands. Chea Sim ordered the CPP to grab a total number of 81 seats in the upcoming election.

The CPP will easily get 10 seats in Phnom Penh, and that will leaved two: one for the Funcinpec, and one for the HRP. The Zimbabwean Party (SRP) will not get any Khmer's seat.
