The temple belongs to Khmer in Thailand, not Khmer in Cambodia. The French has not right to rob from one and give it to other.

Im not sure how accurate the history of thailand is in that comic. The tais did not conquer khmer land on their migration south. They were taking refuge in the khmer kingdom. Then after they were settle in the area that they plotted to take the kingdom on their own.
